In this hair tutorial, SimDanelle (Danelle Ice) shows how to do a 4 strand braid hairstyle. This advanced hair braiding technique is one you'll want to learn early on so that you can create fun variations in your own hairstyles and designs.

Braiding with more than 3 strands produces gorgeous hairstyles that look like they're really complicated to do. Four strand braids are very easy, though, once you know the technique. Plus, once you have practiced this method and feel comfortable braiding more than 3 strands, you can try a 5 strand braid (or even 6 or 7 strands if you dare!).

In the video I show you how to do a four strand braid around the side of the head so that it's easy to teach the technique. If you're actually wearing the 4-strand braid hairstyle, you'll probably want to wear one braid down the back of your head or 2 braids on the sides of your head.
