Transcript: Affordable Makeup Brushes at Walmart and Target

Today I'm going to talk to you about where you can find affordable make up brushes. I know the popular choice is always MAC, of course, but not everybody can afford to pay that much money for a make up brush. So, I'm going to go ahead and share with you some make up brushes that I found that are definitely a lot more affordable and you pretty much find anywhere, so stay tuned.

So, I'm going to start off with a brand that everybody pretty much already knows, Elf. Elf is really well known for their affordability, obviously, and their make up brushes are actually really good. Which is surprising, because their brushes only cost a dollar, even their studio line brushes, the black ones, they're only $3.00 a piece. So, you are getting really good quality for really, really cheap.

The white handled brushes are just their regular make up line. These are only a $1.00. This is my favorite make up eye shadow brush from them. It's only a $1.00 and you can find this on their website. If your Target sells Elf products, you can find this there. I really, really recommend this brush. It is, like, I use this brush everyday. Anybody who's received a beauty package from me, has pretty much gotten one of these. I don't know why, I just really love it.

I also use this is a concealer brush. It's kind of dirty right now. I actually use this for eyeliner though and it works really well. So, I definitely recommend this one too. But these are their studio line brushes, they are the black handled ones. They look a all sleeker and nicer and stuff. These are only $3.00 a piece. These are actually really good quality.

These two are probably one of the more popular ones that you've seen. This is the complexion brush and it's really long. It got really long bristles. It's really soft and it's kind of flat. Then everybody pretty much knows this one I'm sure. This is the flat top powder brush and a lot of people use this for different reasons. Some people use it for foundation. Others use it for powder, bronzer, you know, that type of thing, but these brands, this brand works really well. I really recommend these. Especially these two brushes, they work really well.

Another brand that Target, only Target sells exclusively is Sonia Kashuk. She has some really good make up brushes. Sonia Kashuk is a, she's like a celebrity make up artist, but she has her own line of make up and make up brushes. It's actually really affordable and really good quality. They're always really pretty too. She always comes out with really different brush sets for holidays or different seasons and stuff. This is actually one of the, well, part of one of the collections I've got in the past. They're gold see they're really pretty.

These two are my favorite actually. I use these like every day and they work really well. The only thing about these ones, they are a tiny bit scratchy. They are not as soft as like these Elf ones but they work really well. They actually work really well for blending and stuff; so, I don't mind it as much. Usually her make up sets, it depends on which ones you get, but even like a full set of say all these brushes and then a wash or powder brush or something. It will still only cost $20.00 and it comes with a little make up bag or a brush holder or something.

Hers are still pretty affordable and then she also has a couple different other lines. She has her regular line which comes with white handles and stuff. Just plain white handles over, I forgot what that's called, but those range from, I think, $5.00 to $13.00 a brush, which is still pretty decent.

She also has her next higher up line which is a little bit more fancy. It has these really cool, kind of, sculpted handles and stuff. This line is a tad bit more expensive. I think I paid, I think I only paid $10.00 for this brush or maybe like $12.00 or something. Still pretty affordable, you know, especially since she's a well known, she's a well know make up artist. You know, you're getting good quality brushes for, you know, really cheap.

This is the one I have. This is the flat top blusher brush. I actual use this for my foundation and I really, really like it. It just buffs it in really good. I definitely recommend this one. This is her highlighting brush and I use this for everything from foundation to highlighting to bronzer blush just pretty much anything.

That is another option you have if you have a Target near you. I definitely recommend Sonia Kashuk. Also at Target, I shop at Target a lot in case you can't tell. Target has their own line. It's not like a Target brand, it's a line they carry, but it's very, very affordable and these are a couple of brushes I've gotten from them. I think the line is called Studio Tools. This is what the packaging used to look like, kind of a see-through plastic handle and this over here. Then they changed to all black, which I kind of like the all black. It kind of looks sleeker. These are surprisingly good quality as well.

This is their foundation brush that I really like. It's really nice and big. I don't know why I like that, but these are really good quality as well. These are only, I believe, like this, this works really well. I use this to blend in my eye shadows and stuff and think this only costs $2, I think, $2 or $3. They are very affordable. This is their eyeliner brush which I like a lot too. I use this to set my eyeliner. I don't know if you can see this. Yeah, Target, around $2 to about $6 or $7. Definitely check those out.

Then Wal-Mart, everybody's go to place when they are broke. They actually surprise me. They actually have this new collection of make up brushes as well. I was so excited because I happen to love Wal-Mart. I'm always broke so I was going there looking through their make up. I saw that they had this new make line, make up brush line. These all came in a set. These are all face brushes and I think they were all like $12, like the whole set which is really, really good. I really, really like these brushes. They are so soft and they are really dense. These are kind of gross, sorry. They are really dense. They pick up a lot of color, they blend in well, and they're super affordable.

This is the powder brush; it is a good size, you know, fits my face well. This is their angled brush for brush, bronzer, you know that type of thing. This is the foundation brush which is also a good size. I like how pointed it is because it gets into the corners of my eyes really well. I really like that one. This is a mini powder brush, I'm guessing to set your powder underneath your eyes. This is a concealing brush. I actually use both of these for concealer. I use this one if I need more coverage and then this one if I need less coverage. I just kind of blend it out where ever. Yeah, I really, really like these brushes. They have more there, but I definitely recommend this brand.

They have a couple that are called, gosh, I can't remember, I can't remember what they are called, but these ones I like the best. These are called the like the High Definition Brushes or something. Definitely check these out they're by where all the fake eyelashes and tweezers and all that stuff. That was one set I got and that was like $12. I also got this eye set as well. I think this set was only like $7. The brushes are double ended. It's like your getting twice as many brushes for only $7 which is really great.

This brand is, you know, just a fluffy shady brush and a pencil, pencil end. I have a cold so that's why I sound weird. The other side is for your eyebrows and then an eyeliner, eyeliner side. Another one is a flat eye shadow brush and then a really big fluffy brush.

Yeah, those are my alternatives to more expensive make up brushes. Yeah, I hope you enjoy this video and found it useful.
