Summer is here and if you're into makeup heavily, then of course you'll still want some type of foundation.. whether its liquid, cream, or powder. For those who are into foundation, I would suggest a tinted moisturizer; especially if your foundation gives you a very full coverage.

Most store bought tinted moisturizers are very sheer, and depending on the brand--can be very pricey. This is where the D.I.Y comes in. You don't have to go out and spend more money! Just grab your favorite foundation... it can be liquid, powder, or creme..and just mix it with a SPF moisturizer. Focus on the percentage of the SPF in the moisturizer, based on where you'll be going. I would suggest not making the entire bottle into a tinted moisturizer, but to custom make it on a palette or a cd-rom, to fit the application needed for the day. Remember that your skin must breathe, so putting a high SPF moisturizer just to sit around the house, daily, can cause clogging of the pores. SPF creates a barrier to protect your skin from the sun; so wearing a high dosage, just because, can prevent your skin from breathing. :)
