So todays video will be about my current favorite beauty products...that NO one is paying me to talk about. Thats right no sponsors or affiliate codes.

I've not had a single affiliate code in my videos FOR YEARS and I'm not sure if I will ever start. Thats not to say the people who do utilize affiliate codes are inherently bad (unless of course they refuse to disclose them OR if they try to hide the fact that they are affiliate codes) I just don't personally know if thats part of my journey.

The thing with people not disclosing affiliate links or codes has always surprised me. I cant tell if its a silent admission of the fact that they KNOW people are less likely to buy from them OR if they don't see the big deal with disclosing them.

But either way..

I feel like if you are creating good content for your audience, have a connection with them, and they trust you they would be MORE likely to use your affiliate links and codes. It's a win for the brand, the viewer, and the creator.

But I digress...

This video is also being made because for some reasons people are under the impression that I just don't like ANYTHING. It makes me laugh....

I think we are so used to creators fawning over products that when someone doesn't it seems like negativity or hating. I can make a whole video on manipulative that narrative is, but in my case...I genuinely feel there needs to be a well rounded discussion around products. Its not all amazing and lately its almost never unique and most importantly they aren't always worth your money.
