Getting Rid Of Crappy Eyeshadow Palettes

So todays video is my version of an eyeshadow declutter video. No offense, but I find hour long declutters of sifting through MASSIVE makeup collections super boring. Im way more interested in what motivated this person to bring the items in to their lives, what they learned from that behavior, and what about the items themselves make them worth decluttering.

In all fairness...I cant blame ANYONE for the choices I made around my finances in this scenario. In a lot of ways I knowingly purchased things that I knew were not inherently special or even my particular taste but at one time felt the need to LITERALLY buy into the "promote brands to grow my platform" cycle that was once the only way to grow a beauty channel.

We have come a long way as a community since then and I have come a long way as a creator since that time as well. And if you are new to my channel you might not know this is my gig and spend lots of time unpacking messages from the beauty community and the beauty industry, dissecting rampant consumerism, and trying to share the things I have learned from being involved in all of the above.

My goal isn't to hurt anyones feelings. I do however, not subscribe to the belief that brands and influencers who stand to benefit off the community just out right deserve or are owed praise and allegiance and therefore should be shielded from any one who doesn't wish to participate in the beauty guru-stan echo chambers that keep certain people and businesses thriving when in most cases its mostly shameless empty cash grabs that are harming the environment, the state of the community, and the financial health of their viewers.
