How to make a Grocery Cart Cover: Beginner Friendly

I went to Costco but I didn't have a membership, the goal was to get one. Upon arrival, the guard gave me a shopping cart. I stood with my personal wipes and cleaned the handle then I was told the membership area was on the opposite side and to leave my cart. When I returned, the guard had pulled my cart aside, probably because he noted how meticulous I was about cleaning it. However, in this moment when those of us who are immunosuppressed are at a great risk, I felt compelled to clean the cart again.

When I got home, I wondered, how can I keep this from happening and keep my supply of wipes from going too quickly. This is the idea I came up with. You don't have to be an expert at sewing and those of you without a sewing machine can use fabric glue for this project. In the time of the Coronavirus, every little bit I think helps. For those of us that are more susceptible to Covid-19 we definitely want to wear our masks and keep the germs of others as far away as possible.
