I couldn't possibly get through the Wedding Marathon without adding a touch of African tradition. As a British Born Ghanaian, I have been taught my roots well, and so has Jennifer who is Nigerian. The Gele is a Nigerian traditional way of tying a head scarf, different tribes have different style, Jennifer has Yoruba heritage, however I am not too sure if this style is particularly from the Yoruba tribe, whatever it is, its awesome and now us Ghanaians and other African Nations are wearing it.
Jennifer tyed mine and my mothers for my traditional wedding. My husband was so impressed I embraced his culture as he is Nigerian!
