HELPFUL TIPS:
* I prefer hot glue for all my crafts, BUT it will not last for most plastic and metal projects. If you’re not crafting for fun like me, extend the life of your DIYS by using industrial strength glue.

Farmhouse Rustic Wall Mirror/ Art Piece:
* The finished frame measures 12 x 28.5”
* Each carboard piece should be 1.5” thick and the length of the canvas, for the sides leave enough hangover for your 1.5” side pieces
* when cutting the regular popsicle sticks, cut slowly to prevent wood splitting. Some is good, it adds character, but you don’t want it to fully spilt.
*I didn’t use a full box of the sticks for the frame, so you will have left overs
* TO CORRECT THE FLAW- the stick that’s under the frame has to be LONGER than the other pieces so it won’t fall through.
*I used wire cutters to trim the popsicle sticks
* If you make it with the glass, I recommend using an industrial strength glue and gluing it to the frame. Tape is recommended for short term decorating.
* The mirror measurements below do not include the frame size, just the mirror size.
* Try making 2 of these and hang them vertically, maybe to the left and right of a door or window.

* BUYING IN BULK: Go to Hobby lobby Joann Fabrics, or check Amazon, Etsy, and buy in bulk for gems, trim, beads and pearls! Buying at Dollar Tree isn’t always the cheapest option. I bought 1 pound of gems and pearls for $8 when they were 50% off and I paid $7 for of gems at joann when they were 70% off. For my wondering minds :) I’m a big city girl, but my parents are from the country, and I spent many summers and holidays at my grandparent’s house. Farmhouse décor is more than decorations for me, it’s nostalgic! None of my grandparents are physically here today, so filling my home with decorative memories leaves me feeling like a kid again! Papa Bear and Zari enjoys it too.

MATERIALS (From Dollar Tree, see exceptions):
3 canvases
Small and large popsicle sticks
Long sticks (amazon, 15.5" extra long wooden craft sticks, Bamboo)
Cat scratch boards (3)
Brown and white paint (walmart)
3 large rectangular mirrors (a little under 8.5 x 11)
1 square mirror candle holder
Brown spray paint (Walmart, satin brown)
Large paint brush
Something sharp to cut with
Hot glue dispenser (large one from amazon, small one from hobby lobby)
OR
Stronger glue
Something to write with
