Im sure you've heard a lot about probiotics in food i.e. yogurt, etc... This year you will hear a lot more about probiotics & prebiotics in skincare and why its beneficial for our skin.

Prebiotics are nutrients for bacteria that help to create a healthy environment for the skins microbiome (the good bacteria on our skin). You can think of Prebiotics as a fertilizer for the probiotics. Were as probiotics are the live bacteria that are used to target the gut microbiome and digestive system.

Pre and Probiotics in skincare are essential in skincare to help regulate the good and bad bacteria on our skin. Ultimately it will help reduce any type of inflammation in the skin. This can be inflammation associated with acne, sun exposure, dry sensitive skin.....basically skin that has been compromised in any way.
