WHY SATIN?
Breakage
When knitted hats are regularly worn without a lining, they can cause hair breakage over a period of time. This is especially true of wool hats. This is because the fibers draw moisture from the hair, leaving it dry, brittle and prone to breakage. Additionally, the friction between the hair and fibers can cause hair breakage in areas such as around the hair line (i.e. edges, nape).
Dryness
Due to dry, cold climate, hair easily dries out during the winter months. Wearing the wrong hat will further contribute to unhealthy conditions. A satin protective barrier between your hair and a hat will have an impact on your hair health and appearance. The smooth texture of a satin lining will prevent friction and drying out of your hair.
You should wear a satin-lined knit hat if:
-You have curly hair
-You have straight hair
-You have color-treated hair
-You have fragile hair
-You have dry hair
-Your hair has suffered from a lot of styling
-You would like to prevent "hat hair" and maintain your style
