Hello!

So if you've stumbled across this video, or you're a subscriber, then first of all can I just say that you are an incredible human being. It takes guts to recognise that there's something not quite right about what you're feeling or thinking. It's not easy to say to yourself "I'm not feeling great, what can I do?"

I want us to be able to talk to each other and express how we're feeling. Acne is something that can dig so deep within us and never let go. Even when we have clear skin, we can easily be thrown back into dark thoughts without even realising it. Acne can affect us on every level! It's obvious when we see it physically, but the emotional pain and memories it causes can be a total nightmare.

I've found that, with time, it does get better. If you're a teenager watching this and you're struggling, trust me... I have been there. Our teenage years are some of the worst, and I am not going to downplay how hurtful they can be. But I'm here to tell you today that you can get through even the darkest of days. You are a surviver and you have support, both in your family and friends and with people online who know exactly what you're going through.

If you're past your teenage years, yet you still have acne or scarring, then you know that it still hurts. It does. But with age we gain maturity and perspective, and we know that we must persevere and continue fighting the good fight!

To me, having confidence means making some kind of peace with yourself. Knowing your limitations and accepting that sometimes life just isn't going to go to plan. I think it's important to have a good attitude towards life and ourselves. We must be able to pick ourselves up and start over, and get better each time we feel knocked down. Finding an outlet for our frustrations and anger, or even sadness is vital. To me, YouTube is my outlet, and I love being able to share my life with you. I know that I'm not alone here! You guys support me every single second of the day, and that's why I want to share that same love and support with you.

Let's keep fighting the good fight! Let's share our best memories and happiness with each other! Let's be positive towards ourselves and our lives.
