Today is the biggest day in my beauty career! One of the most influential women on social media and the beauty industry chose me to take part in her video. I had the honor and privilege of being featured in Michelle Phan's Mastering the Art of Oils.

Michelle Phan is the first beauty creator who inspired me to get out of my comfort zone with makeup. I went to the first Ipsy event called Generation Beauty in LA and I remember watching Michelle from afar thinking, it must be incredible to do what you love in life.

The vision Michelle gave us in that event made me want to become a creator. I decided to create a YouTube channel but once I got back home life took over and I never created it.

I went on watching my favorite Beauty Creators for the next 2 years. I became very obsessed with watching YouTube videos, it became my pass time. What stopped me from starting my own channel was fear of being too old to get into the beauty space. My husband is my biggest supporter and he encouraged me to get started.

He was away for work all day and I was home alone with my daughter who was a toddler at the time. Although I love staying home to raise my daughter, I felt very alone and isolated. I needed a creative outlet to express myself.

January 2015 I started my channel, not knowing how far I could take it. It became something l was passionate about. I got accepted to Ipsy Open Studios and mentorship with Michelle Phan. This was the opportunity that helped me believe that anything is possible.

I want to encourage you to believe in your dreams and do what it takes to make it a reality. Push yourself to get out of your comfort zone. Keep your self focused and keep going. You can do anything in life.

Create a vision board to remind yourself of your goals and vision for your life. You just have to figure out where you want to go. With hard work and perseverance you can do anything. Just don’t give up on yourself and your dream.

Go for it! I believe in you!
