It can be difficult to define a set trend for the 2000's. There was a lot of throwbacks to previous decades, particularly 60's Mod and 50's glam.
One trend that stuck out to me was very glowing, bronzed, yet natural skin. No sculpting, minimal foundation or concealer, and flushed cheeks.
That's the look I created for you today.

However, it's worth noting that this was the same time that makeup communities on live journal were flourishing. Aspiring makeup artists and enthusiasts were coming together and showing off their skills, often ignoring current trends and experimenting with bright colors and edgy techniques. Many of the popular youtube gurus we follow now branched off of these groups and now they help drive the beauty industry and influence makeup trends.

So as a nod to those days, I've included a bonus, "How to get into a LJ Makeup Ratings Community' segment at the end of the video. It's a little tongue in cheek, but also fun.
