What are you using currently? Honestly I feel skin care regimens that are ment to work together don't. My sister uses one and I think her skin got to used to it and it's been breaking out bad. I used to have really bad skin. On a daily bases my mom would tell me, how bad my skin looked and she bought me countless products! I finally stoppdd trying them bought the clean and clear morning burst and my skin cleared up! I also use the sea breeze toner strong stuff so only sometimes. For my occasional pimples the acne free terminator gets rid of them so fast! I also stopped drinking pop, i'm sure that helped a lot.

I know how you feel. I'm on prescription meds for it at the minute. I'm so fed up. It does seem like it's improved but the I suffer from quite bad hormonal acne around my period and there isn't much that can be done about it.

@Yessy C. I currently wash my face morning and night with clearasil rapid action face wash and at night I put tea tree oil on my acne but it just doesn't seem to work because im still overwhelmed with pimples

@ Amy I really need to find a dermatologist.. I used to go to one but he was horrible and never really helped me. Yeah I've realized that having pimples during my period is inevitable and I can't do anything for that! haha

Yes I go to a derm and she's useless when it comes to my oily skin. I think I've tried everything I can get my hands on.

The problem I have is that, while most women get 2-3 pimples during their period, I get about 10 that are horrible and painful. It's so depressing knowing that you actually can't do anything and you just have to wait to grow out of it.

You can try bioderma sebium AKN cream... I just apply it on pimples, even if they are still really small... I works for me :)

I've had the same problem. I had really good skin until November of last year. My face started to break out and wouldn't stop. I tried countless things and it wouldn't work. In August, I purchased the Cetaphil Derma Control (oil free) Foam Wash Cleanser and the Oil Free Moisturizer. I use the foam washer twice a day and the moisturizer in the morning. At night I use Nivea Cream after I wash my face. Every other day I'll exfoliate and use my Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. I have to tell ya, my skin has improved sooo much. Right now I'm just trying to get rid of my acne scars. Maybe you want to try the Derma Control line.

Amy, have they tried two things at once? Antibiotics didn't help. B.c. Pills and retin-a gets rid of it for me. Mine was moderate and didn't hurt. Had to go back a couple of times and tell them what I was on wasn't working until they found something that would. Be persistent!!

Hey, Rebecca. I'm currently using antibiotics and differin. The differin has improved the overall texture and has gotten rid of all if the closed comedones but doesn't seem to have done much for the actual pimples. I do seem to get less spots when I'm not on my period but when I am I get so many that it just takes the condition if my skin right back to how it was before. My acne is moderate. I have to go back to the dr in 2 weeks so I guess he'll decide what to do because I'm coming into my 4th month of these medications. I really don't want to go on B.C. pills for it but I have a feeling that it might be what he suggests if he thinks I haven't had enough improvement :(

Maybe Retin -a? It's stronger than differin. That stinks. I hated antibiotics.

I will ask about retin-a. Have you had any side effects with it? I've been pretty good with differin, just experiencing dry eyes occasionally.

I didn't when I was in it. I'm older so they switched me to differin gel a few years ago. At first, you know, the acne seems to get worse, but it's just the stuff that is already there coming to the surface. After the first few weeks it got better. I was on it for about a decade. Guessing you have oil free moisturizer, clay masks, and scrubs too? That stuff helps a little to, but you must know that. I switched to liquid soap, just Ivory, because I thought bar soap might be putting bacteria back on my skin. That's all I've got. Hope some of it is useful.

I know exactly how you I feel. Ive struggled with acne for years. Tried everything under the sun and nothing worked... The best thing ive found and has cleared me up comepletely are vitamins. Help for Skin Disorders by Bell Master. All natural.. It seriously works. I recommend it to anyone and everyone with acne. You can find it at The Medicine Shoppe or health food stores. I started using vitamin c supplements, evening primrose oil and progesterone cream... Careful with the cream but the difference in my skin is like night and day. But I have to keep on the schedule of it or it comes back
