Have you tried sideswept bangs? I'm not a fan of my forehead either, but straight across bangs weren't my thing. Sideswept bangs (not to be confused with side bangs) are usually a little lighter in texture, witch makes them softer looking and more adaptive to different styles. I think your hair looks nice with the milkmaid braids :) I personally would like the style even more with side bangs and a few face framing pieces:P.

I think if you filled in your eye brows it would make your forehead seem smaller (it might just be the lighting in the pic too so I could be wrong) but in the picture your eyebrows are barely visable so it almost gives the illusion that your forehead ends right above your eyes like where the crease is.
