Moisturizer. But if your skin is super dry and you don't have a problem making your makeup stay on, then I would skip primer.

Eeeek. i never used moisturizer :x i never knew it was that necessary but by this thread it seems to be.
i have really dry skin in some places on my face..guess it explains a lot. Could anyone recommend one for combination skin for beginners that isn't too expensive?
And oh! i just skip the eyeshadow if i'm short on time
and go for pencil eyeliner (:

Skip primer for sure! You can never have enough moisture on the skin! You can reduce visible and long term skin aging just by being religious about your moisturizer application. Primers are superficial.

face primer, definitely

I'm so happy to see that most of these responses are primer! You can't skip moisturizer, even if you have oily skin. It's so bad for you. I was kinda worried when I read the op, but I'm very proud of all the 'primer' answers!!

I would have to skip the primer because I have really dry skin. A good moisturizer can double for a primer anyday. Although there are primers that very moisturizing so I can see the occasional skipped moisturizer. I always need it after I cleanse my skin <3

Face Primer but it really depends on your skin type... Dry skin I would skip face primer, and super oily skin might want to skip the moisturizer.

I would skip foundation and just conceal areas that need it. And reduce my eyeshadow to something simple because that's usually where most of my time goes. I don't do liner too much either so I would also probably skip that or just run a little on the waterline and add mascara and be done.
