Yesss! It's safe to do!! Just make sure you take off your mascara afterwards think about the mascara you use on your eyes it's just as hash as the hair gel. I use this trick and nothing had happened to me just be careful and you should be fine

And you're putting your mascara on after the gel so the mascara like seals the gel but if your not comfortable with this trick don't do it I don't wanna cause anyone trouble or anything but my eyes are fine
