Why do you choose to wear makeup or why don't you choose too?

I wear makeup because I love waking up and being able to be limitless with it. I love that I can do a natural look one day, and a neon eyeshadow look the next. It's fun to me. And also, I wear face makeup because of insecurity. One day that I didn't wear foundation or concealer to school, multiple people, including teachers, approached me and asked if I was getting enough sleep at home because I have horrible under eye circles due to insomnia. Literally looks like two black eyes. It makes me feel like I can meet people's eyes without having to explain that I haven't been punched in the face twice and that it's just due to lack of sleep.
