I contacted them twice last week with no response whatsoever, but then when I woke up this morning, I had an email saying it has been shipped. I really hope this is a great box for me...because I have kind of lost my excitement about it with all of this. I say this now...but as soon as I get my box I will probably rip it open right away in excitement. LOL! :)

Here is my most recent blog post on my June birchbox products, as well as some short reviews: http://beauty.adorability.org/?p=212 =)

Hope it works out for you, Valerie. Looks like what I got was the "main" box as most people got that. There are several other variations but those seems to be not the main one sent out.

Are you required to purchase full size products from Birchbox if you subscribe? I am thinking of just doing it for a month ($10) and see how it goes but I don't want to be forced into buying anything else. Samples usually come with strings attached.. Can you do it for just one month?..

Yasmin K.
No, no requirements like that.

I live in Canada and we have LUXEBOX. I heard Birchbox is good, better samples than we in Canada have, but I wouldn't know...lol.. It's a hit or miss. You either LOVE the samples, or toss 'em...I've posted about my experience in my blog. Take a peek below.

I wanna subscribe, but I'm still not sure how I feel about the Ahava products :(
I'm really against using that brand and from what I can tell birchbox sends you alot of ahava products

@Melonie F- Canada also has LooseButtons. Have you tried that service?
And here's the thing ladies - you are NOT required to pay for a year. I am month-to-month. This is a "Subscription" like a magazine - you can cancel at anytime. (Yes, you can cancel magazine subscriptions at anytime and they will mail you a check for your undelivered issues.)

Well I FINALLY got my June Birchbox and it was AMAZING! I wasn't extremely impressed with my first one, but this one definitely made up for it. The full sized Laura Geller Baked and Brighten blush is normally $30, so that alone paid for the Birchbox! I really loved my other products, as well. I will try to get up the review and stuff on my blog soon. :)

I saw the Laura Geller blush that my friend got in her Birchbox... I'm so jealous! I'm definitely subscribing.

Birchbox is amazing! Its like your birthday every month. You get luxurious samples and a high priced full size every month. This June I received a Laura Geller baked blush in which retails around 34 dollars. I love it and recommend it!

Lisiana, the blush retails for $29.50, it even states that on the Laura Geller site. The blush WITH brush retails for almost $35. And you don't always get a full size product each month from the various videos I've seen.

I love Birchbox! I have such bad luck with relying on other people's opinions for expensive products, and then when I buy them I often end up not liking them. So Birchbox is a perfect way to try out some high end products without committing to them, and it's only $10!

I subscribed to birchbox last month, just to try it. There were products in it I didn't like and a few that I am completely in love with, but for $10 a month, I'm happy with what I received. It's a great way to try new products I normally wouldn't have touched, or bought on my own.

Wendy: What's up with the Ahava products? Never heard of them..

Ahava is a brand that has body and hair care mostly.
But basically: http://www.palestinecampaign.org/index9b.asp?m_id=1&l1_id=4&l2_id=99&Content_ID=1794
And while I don't know all the facts, it honestly seems awful.

I've only ever received one product from AHAVA, the hand cream, which admittedly I love. They don't send a lot of it as far as I can tell. I've received three boxes so far. I didn't get a full sized product this month, but I did for May and June. I love Birchbox, it also helps curb my makeup spending habit, which is a VERY good thing.

@Wendy - it depends on your viewpoint. If you're pro-Palestinian then yes Ahava is horrible but if you're pro-Israel than then the boycott is offensive.

From that last link:
Ahava Dead Sea Laboratories is an Israeli cosmetics company that has its manufacturing plant and visitors center near the shores of the Dead Sea in the illegal Israeli settlement of Mitzpe Shalem in the Occupied Palestinian West Bank. All Israeli settlements in the West Bank are illegal under international law. All Israeli settlements in the West Bank are illegal under international law. The Israeli High Court of Justice affirmed in 2005 that the West Bank is “held by the State of Israel in belligerent occupation” and that the Fourth Geneva Convention, under which an occupying power is prohibited from transferring citizens from its own territory to the occupied territory, applies to the West Bank. Ahava is 44% owned by Mitzpe Shalem and another settlement, Kalia, so that the company’s profits are subsidizing these illegal colonies. Although its goods are manufactured in the West Bank, Ahava labels them as “products of Israel,” a practice that is illegal under European Union law and is currently being investigated in the UK and Holland.
If you look at Google Maps, Mitzpe Shalem (where Ahava is made) is located inside the West Bank (which is Palestine held) BUT is considered part of Israel. Sort of how

I am currently subscribed to Birchbox and I Love it. It definitly pays for it's self especially when most of the samples alone are worth more than $10. I also don't always have 10 everymonth but you have the option of canceling at any time. I think it's at least worth a try.
