Need FULL COVERAGE FOR VERY OILY SKIN.

I have very oily skin, I hate it so much. It also causes my acne. I am currently using esste lauder double wear foundation, but I am now starting to break out when I use it, I want a full coverage foundation for oily skin,for acne prone skin, that won't move on my face, sweat resistant and so on. I was going to buy the "Kat Von D Lock it " foundaation for full coveerage, but I wasn't sure. I like high end products please help!

I'm so sorry because I don't wear foundation but I've heard such great things about the Kat Von D foundation so I absolutely recommend that you try it. Aside from that, try Make Up For Ever's HD foundation, I've heard awesome things about that too. In the meantime, what is your skincare routine? Maybe I can help you with reducing your acne that way :)

I have oily skin Also, if you want to prevent the oil on your face than buy Milk if magnesia it's AMAZING primer for oily skin! I have experience, you can buy any foundation and use the Milk Of magnesia and it will lock your foundation right on to your face and you won't feel Extremely oily like you used to. I say MakeupforeverHD is a good foundation for oily skin

I haven't tried it but I heard the Kat Von D foundation is amazing. I've also heard that Makeup Forever HD foundation isn't the best for oily skin. I haven't tried either but I recommend going to sephora and asking someone there what they recommend.

I have super oily sensitive acne prone skin. I tried for years to find an hg foundation but was never happy even using higher end cuz it always broke me out. So I decided to focus on skin care. I got a clarisonic and started using better skincare. And who would have thought that after about a month of using moisturizer ( ole henrikson sheer transformation was my first fav) my skin crazy oil calmed down. I think starting with a great canvas and getting ahold of zits and oil slicks and moving to a better for this skin, lighter coverage is key. Your skin may be telling you that a heavy foundation is not for you with zits and over production of oil. I never found my hg foundation but I love bb creams now. I needed a good concealer to help the transition.

I have oily skin my self and it get worse when I wear foundation but I changed my skin care routine and makeuo forever HD works wonder for me with the HD powder as well! oily skin will not go away but its at its lowest when I use the right primers and use the makeup forever foundation amd little bloting sheets from time to time! clean your brushes as well or anything you use to apply your foundation ,, good luck.

Mary is so right! When my clients come in and are complaining of oily skin,I always start with some great skincare recommendations. I have oily skin also. I used Cliniques 3-step system I am a #4. and I rarely wear foundation, but when I do I loveeeee Cliniques Stay Matte Foundation! Its not the fullest coverage but it does have amazing coverage, and it is so lightweight on your face. even my acne prone clients love it! I would suggest you try something not so heavy it could be why your skin is having a breakout! Hope this helps.

Makeup forever hd is not great for oily skin! I have oily skin, and the makeup forever makes my face look almost glossy within a few hours which I haven't experienced with any other foundation. That foundation leaves a satin-dewy finish
I recommend the hourglass mentioned before, and cover fx and shiseido are great for acne prone skin as well

My friend and I both tried the Kat Von d foundation and we hated it. my skin is SOOO oily and my face became oily about 2 hours after the application. at first it looks flawless but doesn't last long at all. it slides around on your face even if you set it with a powder. it felt very heavy on my skin and was very hard to blend in because it was so thick. it also broke me out after the first use. I tried it again to see if it would work differently, and the exact same things happened. on the contrary, my friends skin is very dry and she has very acne prone skin and it enhanced her dryness and also made her break out like crazy. that was just our experience with it. hope this helps. :)

I agree 100% with Mary. I have oily skin myself and I used to fight against my skin with cosmetics instead of working with it. Skincare is best defense to correct or mimimize any issue you're facing. I now embrace my oily skin instead of trying to dry out and cover it up with heavy foundations because I learned that oily skin actually ages at much slower rate than dry skin. At 39 years old I'm trying to keep my youthful face for as long as I possibly can. Investigate making some changes into your skincare routine and look into foundations that contain beneficial ingredients to control the oil and breakouts. Such as from CoverFX, Becca, IT cosmetics, Clinique, Jane Iredale.

I have the same issue, my skin is SO oily. I use covergirl stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation and it works incredibly well for my oily skin. I know it's not high end, but it's very comparable! It stays in my skin for 8 hours without starting to break down. I use rimmel stay matte powder in top and I don't usually have to touch up with powder for like 5 hours. It's awesome!!

I had the same problem, but I switched to cetaphil's foam cleanser for oily skin which really helped. I use revlon's primer and bare minerals foundation (the pressed foundation, not regular) since I switched my face very rarely gets oily...the powder foundations are great since you aren't adding extra oil to your skin
