I'm single and I go on dates all the time to find that special connection with that special someone :) but perfumes I wear vary from the mood ! But the most regular perfume I use on dates are especially cos I love em stronnngggg.... Alien , angel , Chanel allure n Chanel sensuelle ! And angie en demons from givenchi! That's a really beautiful one that I get compliments from men and women ! So go out there sniff a few an take the one that suits ur energy!! After all a girl MUST ALWAYS LOOK HOT N SMELL DIVINE:)

I like anything from Michael Korres, but first think of the season/activity you two will do. Dinner out should not really have the same go to scent as say, ice skating or staying in for a movie and cuddling(not a likely FIRST date, but it could happen). Perfume will change on your skin with heat and length of wear, so try a new scent out before you decide to invest in a costly bottle.

Just make sure that whatever it is, it works with your body chemistry. I don't know how many times I've fallen in love with a scent that a friend or coworker wears, gone to test it, and found that it just doesn't work for me. I have on Coach Poppy today, and I like Poppy Flower too. Do you like florals, citrusy scents, musks... When it comes down to it, yes you wanna get something that the person you're on the date with will like, but it's gotta be a smell you enjoy also.

Chanel CoCo Mademoiselle - men always compliment me on it. I also get a lot of compliments on Dolce & Gabbana The One Rose. But I agree with Courtney make sure you test it out as your body chemistry changes the smell.

MOST guys prefer sweeter scents. That doesn't mean they don't like the others, but since you don't know his preferences, I would either go with something sweet/mild or go VERY light. On a first date (if you haven't known the guy previously in other ways) he is looking to feel comfortable and excited by you. If you want high end: Prada Candy, Viva La Juicy Le Fleur, etc.. Find one that works well for you! If you're looking for a body spray or a less expensive version, try VS Love spell, VS pinks feel flirty etc..
Also another fun option is a great smelling hair oil. Put it on the ends of your hair, an on the hollow in your neck so if the night does end in a hug/kiss/etc..he will smell it when he leans in and he will think it is just the way you smell (;
