I don't really shop at either but I've gotten a few things from each store and I have to say American Eagle. I hate hollister. I got a pair of jeans that were really cute and the 3rd time I wore them, they ripped! I was at school and it was really embarrassing. I ended up stapling my pants! And whenever you walk into hollister you have to make sure you have a freakin gas mask and flashlight! All you smell is 20 different types of perfume and cologne. And I don't understand why they turn off all the lights. Maybe so people won't see the price tag! So yes, AE is the way to go. Although I feel that both are overpriced.
