I saw that you looked up pictures of Millia and you don't think that's it but if it is a raised bump and you pop it and harder white stuff (not pus) comes out than it is milia.. That's just the technical term for it. Basically it's just clogged pores... Glycolic wash and exfoliating will help clean out the pores. Good luck :)

It's called baby acne it forms when your pores are small or not really formed yet it helps to lay in the sun a little but it's not that easy to get rid of I'm so sorty

I've talked to my dermatologist about this same problem and she insists that it's milia but I know it's not because I have a milia bump under my eye and these little whiteheads are different. You cant squeeze milia and have stuff come out like with these little bumps... when squeezed, long thin white strings erupt but even after cleansing and exfoliating they seem to reappear almost overnight. I'd like to know how to get rid of it for good but for now the only thing that helps is a silver powder that absorbs some of the pores oil and moisture and makes it less visible.

I have the exact same thing. It's called sun milia. some parts of the skin get sensitive and try to protect itself. i get them every summer. the only way to remove them is to pop the exterior and take out the white bulb on the inside. don't be alarmed though. you can get this profesionally done don't worry

It's for sure not milia. they will come back if u squeeze the ones u can and ur right, milia doesn't look like a thin stringy form of pus when squeezed. Ive tried everything!! All the only thing I can accomplish is shrinking them but never completely removing them. I am going to fork out the money( since I don't have insurance) and see a dermatologist today. I've tried antibiotics a pill form/ an antibiotic cream/ a fungus cream because I thought it was folliculitis and many home remedies. Iam super exhausted an pray today I get some form of relieve from my appointment.

i know exactly what sabrina is talking about. i get these same plugs on my cheeks and under my chin. i dont get very many pimples anymore. but these plugs are what frustrates me. ive been told to wash my makeup brushes very frequently. ive tried opening up my pores with hot towels then using astringent but it it just makes my skin very dry. to get rid of them i had to squeeze them out and they kinda smell.(i know gross) i started getting a few amount around my lips. just like a string of white stuff comes out (not puss) i mean i can get them all out by squeezing them but WHAT IS THE CURE TO PREVENTING THEM. its driving me crazy. it seems like even if i skip wearing make up for weeks i get them. PLEASE, if anyone finds a remedy to preventing these, LET ME KNOW!!! and good luck to those experiencing this same problem.

Nancy, the dermatologist said it was most likey the make-up I was wearing. I've been wearing Lancôme foundation for awhile now and just started using their powder transclucent for the first time. I used to always set my powder with bare minerals. I have recently broken out with these type of bumps all over my chin and cheeks. I thought it might be hormonal The powder, since I've done nothing else different with my skin and normally I don't have these. He said that foundation is the worst type of make-up to use and recommended using mineral makeup. I personally love wearing makeup and told him that, he said if I was going to use it to definitely not use any powder or foundation that has the ingredient talc in it. This makes sense to me because the lancome transclucent powder's main ingredient is talc. So, he prescribed me an antibiotic and some ointment. he said if I continued to use the same makeup that it would be a continuous cycle. I think if ur always getting them, it could be the make up u have always been using if he said it could w anything.. Eating too much dairy and sugar and just ur hormones. but I really do believe he is right and that it's the makeup. I hope this helps u nancy!

I've gotten those before too and I've noticed certain lotions I use on my face will cause it or if it's hot out and I'm sweating more at night. Good luck.  Kellibaresall.com

It's white heads or dry skin so use clean and clear face wash and face lotion

Sabrina, I know what my cause is, it's the makeup I started using that had the Ingredient talc. Check ur Ingredients in ur makeup/ lotion. right now I'm using a ph balance, safe facesoap, and prescription duac and differn, it's been working very very slowly. It's called acne cosmetica, look up for pic and see of its what u have. it's a long recovery. good luck!

I get that too, mostly on and all around my nose. Its larger pores. I exfoliate daily, and drink plenty of water, etc too and they still come back. I like Philosophy's Miracle Worker Moisturizer, keeps my skin smoothest and every few days after washing my face with a warm washcloth I gently push them out.

Sounds like millia. You need to cleans, exfoliate and moisturize for you skin type.

AHH I get these too...mostly on my arms. For me, my derm said it's keratosis pilaris. I think that's what you're talking about. When squeezed, there's a thick substance.

As for treating it, there are a number of ways. Unfortunately, you do have to keep it up because they can come back. I have an exfoliator for it called "KP Duty Dermadoctor Body Scrub." There is also a whole treatment on the website here: http://www.dermadoctor.com/conditions/keratosis-pilaris

If it's just on arms or you feel your face/other parts could handle it, you can also use "Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Lotion" because it has the exfoliating ingredient in it that can get rid of it. My derm recommended that one. (find out more about it and other treatments here: http://www.keratosispilaris.org/)

I hope this helped!

Try toothpaste. toothpaste dries up pimples fast and when I would get these bumps i would apply toothpaste all over my nose, leave it on for a while rinse and do it again repeatedly depending on how bad it was and occasionally i would use those biore strips in between the toothpaste application too. now that im older it dont seem to work as fast or as well but up until like last year it worked magic, i might need to try a different toothpaste, but anyways that is what worked for me, use the regular toothpaste, not the scented kind, or sparkly blue kind, or special baking soda whitening with scope mouth wash kind hahaha kind, just the regular old stuff. idk how to keep them from coming back but this would make em go away for awhile until they came back. hope this helps. also try sulphur for acne that is supposed to really dry up the oil in the skin. when i squeeze my nose little bits of white firm puss squirms out, its so gross and unbelievable. they are like itty bitty tiny little white heads that NEVER come to a head, all though about a week ago after massive squeezing and trying all kinds of shit a tiny visible white head popped up for the first time ever! i freaked out, so these little bumps are obviously in the "acne family" good luck with the toothpaste

Sabrina, I have the exact same problem. It sound like you really love your skin and do what you should. Even the best of care can leave annoying problems. I've actually found that blackhead peels/masks really help. And obviously after that I use toner to clean the newly opened pores. This solution hasn't been 100% for me but has definitely helped! If you fin something that eliminates the problem definitely let us know (:

I'm not sure if what you all are talking about is the same thing I get or not, but I get very tiny white bumps that almost appear to be like a whitehead normally near my eyes, but I have gotten them other places on my face as well. They are so small you have to look closely to even notice them. My father and my grandmother both have gotten them from time to time and have told me they are calcium deposits. I generally can't just squeeze them, I actually have to take a little pin and just prick the spot to basically open my skin & either just rub or lightly squeeze it out. It literally feels like a teeny tiny hard thing (like a tiny rock), nothing like a pimple. I have heard of millia, but judging by the pictures I have seen I don't think that is what mine is. Like I said, I don't get them very often at all so I'm not sure what causes them, though I do try to keep my skin as clean as possible so that might be why I don't get them much. I'll have to wait until I get one and try asking the doctor I suppose?

i get these bumps too, all over my forehead...i also have no idea what the hell they are...it's so frustrating because you can extract them (i use a pimple extractor that has a needle on one end and a circle thing on the other end) for me they are tiny little bumps and if you look closely, you can actually SEE the pore on top of the bump, so I just prick the pore lightly and use the other end of the needle to push the crap out....and when it comes out it just looks like a dried up tiny ...but it does damage my skin so i'm left with red marks all over my forehead.....it looks so bad under certain lighting but all i can do is just keep extracting them...i know for sure it's not the makeup i use, because i don't get the bumps anywhere else on my face, i exfoliate, i drink water, i don't have a high fat diet and i eat plenty of fruits/veggies....these bumps are not milias....what the hell are they and how do you get rid of them for good???? i have a wedding coming up in a week and I'm a bridesmaid...i'm so depressed cuz all my friends will be there and all i can think about is how i can hide these bumps!

These are white heads also called milia and they usually lay right beneath the skins surface do it's not a good idea to "pop" them, usually the only thing that works is consistent exfoliation 2 times a week . Also a facial cleanser containing salicylic acid and or glycolic acid can help prevent them as well , hope thus helps :)
