And I like urban outfitters but I kinda feel like you're paying loads more money to look like you shop at thrift stores. It's kind of ridiculous, really.

I suggest not going to thrift stores if you can honestly afford going to larger shops. The hipster trend has caused thrift store prices to go up, and decent clothing being snatched up by upper middle class white kids so that those who rely heavily on thrift stores for clothing are being screwed over. If you want a vintage look, go to vintage shops. Basically uppity thrift shops.
