In my opinion, Estée Lauder Double wear maximum cover is much, much better than Double wear. I've used it to cover tattoos before and it never looks cakey.

I use the smooth indulgence line it looks very natural but you only need a pea size amount for your whole face for dermablend works really great

If you use your fingers just be sure to squeeze the amount you will use on the back of your hand then dip fingers in the small amount to start with small amount and build on it as needed that way it looks more natural not so cakey.
