This morning my husband & I stood in line waiting for the MAC store to open. All the girls were there for Riri release. While I shopped, the husband swatched. The dark purple lippie reminds me of "dark side" (also from MAC) and the powder blush just seems too close to "coppertone". The eyeshadow palattes...hubby pulled shades from permanent line to compare. And the bronzer/blush duo...don't bother if you're not fair skinned. All I can say is that this L/E was a disappointment.

I agree! The packaging is super cute but none of the products stood out to me. Also your husband is toooooo sweet swatching things in MAC awww. I have to BEG my boyfriend to even step foot in a makeup store with me

Thats sucks I will probably just get the lipstick.

@Grace...yes, the packaging is sweet. That's how they get us.lol.
@traci...the nude lippie pulled gray, and the orange metallic lippie is nice and if matched up with a nice brown lip liner (with no red undertone) it could make for a nice ombre lip...I ended up getting Riri Woo. I wanted a few more retro matte lippies but they were sold out of the shades I wanted.

Mace seems to frequently dupe their colors...which is how they keep their shoppers shopping...Don't get me wrong their colors and quality are Great but Over the years I have noticed similarity in some of their lines:) >3 Mac anyhow!!

Thanks Shelley.
I got the purple liner because I've been looking for deep purple liners.
the purple retro lip wasnt as purple or deep as I wanted n like I said Its close to otherc shades already.
I was getting the orange for the same reason you Said, I was thinkn ombre as soon as I saw it. I put it next to meltdown. and I have so chaud (matte orange) already. but they found out they were out of it when she went to get it for me. no harm. I got some other pro shades that I'd Been wanting. the rest is blah.
the nude is the same as I already have from the hello kitty line. its always good to b a smart shopper n just not wrapped up in hype.. :-)

I do think that the Riri Woo IS a bluer red, which it IS billed as. It's not billed as a different color, but as a cooler-toned version of the same color; a color that she loved and wore. Does anyone need both Ruby Woo and Riri Woo? Definitely not. If you have one, it's close enough to the other, but if you don't, then decide if you want a bluer red lipstick. I actually like the Riri better.

Traci L.
I have both and put one on one side of my lips an one on the other side there is no difference ruby woo is just dryer but they are both blue base an you can not tell them apart @ Todd.

That is so darn cute! I almost slapped by boyfriend in MAC once because he said Cyber and Rebel were "the same color." UH NO!
But anyway, thanks for this info. I was really excited for this line but I see the same comments that everything is dupes for other colors. I think I might pick up Riri Woo though because my Ruby Woo is SO sry. It's hard to even put it on sometimes because it drags.
Sep 27, 2013
Camillia N.
Haha Antonia my husband is no help they say anything to get you out the store.
Sep 27, 2013
Shelley W.
@Antonia...yes, I have the Ruby Woo and I find it so drying. And the dragging...very annoying. The retro matte formula feels like I have nothing on my lips. I use my MAC "cherry" lipliner and I'm good to go (with Riri Woo).
