I have had my lip pierced for almost 3 years and I love it. glad I did it in college because now I just take it out for work and am able to put it in later. go for it.

@ vika...you asked our opinion and IM just telling you the cons, if you don't mind the scars go for it and do it if it is set in your mind to do it...at the end of the day is you living with it and rocking it...

I have a tiny scar right below my lip, but not noticeable because it's almost hidden. I forgot I even have it. So depends where exactly you pierce and shape around your lips.

I have had 3, still have 1. I don't wear it all the time. I like it though :) the hole isn't noticeable either. Go for it. You can always take it out.

I think a side one would be cute on you, and you can always take it out and put it back in for jobs once it is heeled. The medusa (under the septum on upper lip) would be cute on you also.

I have had double snakebites, Monroe, both nostrils, septum, and bridge. I took all of them out. Nobody ever notices my scars. The worst one is my bridge because I had it done 3 times. (ugggggg) I say go for it. You can always take it out for a job. Its not like its permanent.

You would look lovely with one, I enjoyed mine thoroughly. But, I hate seeing the little dot on my lip from the scaring. I also had my eyebrow pierced for a couple years but the holes aren't as bad. Think long term.

Well I had mine from when I was 17-20 and boyfriend after we started seeing eachother told me to take it out. He used to have one as well. You should put a fake hoop one to see but to be completely honest it gets tiring after a bit and I need up leaving just the stud one there for my last like year and a half of having it. If you want it badly go for it either way you can always take it out its not painful at all.

Do what you want. Who cares what others think? It's your body.
I have had so many piercings on my face ( nostril 3 dermals Monroe and cheeks) so I have tons of scars.
So, keep that in mind. Buuut, also, you're only young once. So why not mutilate and decorate your canvas? Get tattoos, pierce your body. Cut your hair off, grow it back.
Who cares. Live your life.
