I saw this smoothie recipe in Seventeen magazine and thought you might like it, it is low in sugar but high in protein, healthy fat, and fiber.
What you will need:
-8 oz. of milk
-1 ripe banana, sliced
-1/4 cup ice
-2 tbsp peanut butter
Toss all ingredients in a blender, then puree for one minute (or until creamy but not liquidy) pour into a tall glas and drink!
I tried it once and it was good but if you like your smoothies a little thicker then I suggest maybe freezing the banana the night before or not pureeing it as long.

Oh! Nice! But if you dont like peanut butter, what can you replace it with? Finely chopped almonds or hazelnuts?

Regardless of whether you want to lose weight or gain weight, the important thing is to eat foods that have nutrients and aren't processed. The best way to figure out what to avoid is to read the ingredients list. It should be short and you should be able to pronounce all the words. If it has high fructose corn syrup, modified food starch or monosodium glutimate, avoid it. Most kinds of foods have a brand that avoids these ingredients. So if you want potato chips, its better to eat a brand without those ingredients than it is to have one with them.

In all categories of food (fats, carbs, etc.) there are healthy kinds and unhealthy kinds. You want to go toward the healthy kinds. Eat olive oil and avocados for good fat, whole grains and brown grains (instead of white ones) for carbs. It's also really important to make sure a good portion of your plate (I go for at least 70%) is food that is alive, like greens, veggies, fruit, etc.

The important thing is that your body receives nutrients and enough of each food group to sustain all the activities that it does every day. What you eat becomes the cells that make up your body. So you want to give your body the building blocks that will give it the most nutrition.

Some other foods that are often allergens to people (and therefore something possibly to avoid if you feel you react to them): dairy, gluten, nuts, sugars, nightshades (i.e. eggplant), tomatoes, strawberries (the last two because they're often grown with a lot of pesticides. If you eat them, better to do organic).

Hope that helps!

Its easy to yo yo diet when your stressed...less time to eat, etc. I feel your pain. Try to make time for meals, and try to eat balanced...don't keep the diet out of site out of mind, it has to become a top priority, if you its spiraling downward...don't overeat, at the same time, but allow your self some things that are higher in calories. Avocadoes are a lifesaver, and just eat till your full. Smaller meals helps too, so you remember to eat often.
