I have 6g size gauges, I'm planning on just going down to 0 then stopping:) but I was just wondering what all yaws opinions are on girls with gauged ears? its not going to change my mind or stop me from doing it but just curious lol.

Cute if its really small...like only big enough to fit a skewer in and higher than that is just...no way!

Small are cute as hell. Too big and they will never shrink back.

I used to have size 0's, and when I took them out they went back down to earring size after a month or so. they're so cute when they're big enough to see through, but still small :)

I've had size 0 gauges for 10 years and I get a lot of compliments on them, but more often than compliments I have people say they didn't even notice they were gauged lol. It completely depends on the earrings you wear and how your hair is styled, but the point is you can bring attention to your gauges or completely hide them if you want. I love mine and there's so much cool jewelry you can find for them these days. I say screw the critics and do what you want. If you change your mind in the future you can always take them out(just be patient when stretching so they don't scar like mine did). 😎

I'm at 8mm which I believe is 0 Gauge. I love mine :) I agree with Olivia, they're nice when you can see through them but I personally wouldn't go much bigger, perhaps 12mm the most. They aren't to everybody's taste but who cares? You like them and that's all that matters! I LOVE that I can hide mine with my hair, because my grandparents are very traditional and wouldn't like them, so when I visit I hide them. I've had them for a year and they still don't know 😝

It hurts some people, personally I don't think it does. If you wait until your ear is healed to size up, only go one size up and use Jojoba oil or some kind of other oil them it should be fine :)

Love, love, love. More so, I love the varieties of plugs/tunnels/hangers you can put in. Bigger is better to me. <3333.

I have had stretched lobes for 11 years now. Its something that I still am very much a fan of. I have also gone up and back down in size a few times, but slowly and safely. At my largest they were at 3/4" and smallest they have shrunk back down to was a 0g. I truly believe. once you pass that 0g point, they prob won't go back too close to normal. I still love mine. And I am obsessed to all the beautiful jewelry that kingsbodyjewelry.com has to offer. But yes love love love. I also find that everyone into this has their perfect sizes. I personally liked my lobes best at 5/8" as well as 1/2" which they are at now :) safe stretching.

I am a trained piercer.
1. A gauge is a unit of measure. Stretched ears are not called gauges. Plugs or tunnels are the jewelry.
2. Depending on how big you go they can be reversed without jewelry. I am currently at 1" or 25mm. These are not reversible. I have however closed my ears completely from a 00 (everyone's skin is different tho)
3. Stretching should not hurt of done correctly. Do NOT use tapers. EVER. Buy TEFLON tape. Put one layer over jewelry and place in ear. Put a new wrap every day until you can fit a larger sized plug.
Good luck and safe stretching.

I quite like them! Mine are/have been at a 00g for about 3 years now without the desire to size down at all. I would love to go larger, but I have to have a SUPER professional appearance since I will be working in the funeral industry, so I still need to be able to size down if my job requires. My 00g holes are really unimposing and a lot of people love them. I also only wear spirals, pinchers, or hangers, etc and never any tunnels or plugs, so that may make a difference. I would say I get compliments or comments on how they've never seen stretched ears look so "pretty" on a regular basis. Since they're so unimposing, no one has ever said anything bad about them and it usually makes them curious about the process and the jewelry or my style as a whole. I have found it to be a nice avenue of dialogue to have with new people!

I think they're gross!

Lots of people think they're gross but everyone is entitled to an opinion. I am professional (bachelors degree and preschool teacher/nanny) and I am into body modification (piercings, tattoos, stretching piercings, scarification, and corseting).

I use to wear a corset everyday for a couple of years when I was younger and waist belt it...

Alma m. How small did your waist get? And did it make your lower belly look any bigger? I just started a waist training corset a few weeks ago

I was a 21 inch waist, mind you I was 16 at the time and did it until I was 19,I'm 35 now.It didn't make my belly look bigger at all..Till this day my waist is still small even after 2 kids lol but no longer 21 inches but I'm pretty sure had I kept up with it the results would still be around the same.I always tightened my corset or belt everyday had it on all day too.

I'm glad I'm not alone:) what are yaws favorite kinds/materials, like wood, surgical steel, glass, etc?
Apr 3, 2013
Jamie F.
Where are yaws favorite places to buy them from? I live in a very small town and don't really have any places that sell a variety of kinds, so I'm usually stuck with the same ole stuff. I like variety and trying new things! haha

I've had 5/8 but it's shrunk to maybe 00. I like the faux diamond ones or wooden ones.
Apr 3, 2013
Hilary C.
I'm not a fan of tunnels or crappy hot topic plugs, but as a piercer I'm a snob when it comes to materials. I prefer stone and wood. If you don't have access to a piercing/tattoo shop where they have catalogs to order from, you can get good ones online. Bodyartforms, omerica, amazon and etsy have some beautiful plugs.
