Yes we all know the app is called "Beautylish" and every so often someone makes a thread that's not 100 percent beauty related. So what!! Women have other things happening in there life besides makeup and hair. They might just want an opinion about something and/or they don't have anyone else to talk to. EVERY thread isn't "dumb" and honestly if you don't want to read it then don't or if it's that annoying then delete your account! We should be here to accept and help other women with LEGIT and HONEST questions and remember that every woman or girl is not mature regardless of age.

It is the Internet. Specifically an app full of hormonal teenagers, emotional pre teens and middle aged women.

There will always be people with different opinions and views. Get used to it! It's the Internet, where everyone has the freedom to post what they'd like.

I agree laporsha and ave!! Sometimes it's nice to have girls to just ask advice and get another point of view on a situation

The thing that sort of annoys me isn't so much the content of these unrelated posts but the sheer number of them. There doesn't need to be 10 different topics for something that has already had a topic created for it. Like for example there are at least 5 posts a day about "the best -blank-" I wish people would read through some of the things that are already posted on here before posting a whole new topic. I see a lot of the same topics on here now and some days I really struggle to find new content. Also, I'm not against giving young girls advice but after a point it does get to be out of control and I wish they would take some of these issues to another site, but it is what it is. I try my best to help where I can and ignore what I don't like. I do find myself wishing for a stricter age limit/way of telling age (because girls have flat out say they've lied to get an account) so there wouldn't be so much drama, but until then I just try to deal with it and put on my blinders.

^^^ I agree. It's not just the off topic posts either, there's wayyyy to many "I have acne, help" or "what's the best mascara" posts too. I do find those way more appropriate than the "am I fat/pretty" or "I'm 12 what makeup should I wear" posts.

YESSSSS omg it drives me insane seeing repeat posts constantly!!! I just posted about that in the general section like a week ago. I feel like a broken record if I bother repeating myself, but I get fed up and even though I could provide answers or advice, I don't because I've done it enough times. Do a search. Heck, go to the second page of threads! You'll find what you're looking for very easily.

You don't have to read it if you don't like it

Well, others ARE ruining the site for many people. People are leaving because of this crap.

Ya I come on here for beauty tips and tricks not to be harassed by people who wanna blow of steam

Maggie, that's the thing though.. I answer posts but I'm not going to answer the same thing over and over! It's frustrating because I have help and advice to give but I'm simply NOT going to just keep typing it over and over again because people can't scroll down a few to see if maybe they can find the answer.

I don't think its an issue of not opening the thread, its the titles. You can read them without opening and were just getting tired of seeing the same topics over and over. Its not hard to search or scroll down and see if the issue has been addressed. This is a common thing to do on any forum. Almost any forum you go on will have something posted about checking for duplicate posts before adding a new topic. The topics are the same and so are the answers so they're unnecessary posts. Were not really getting anywhere as a community if all anyone ever asks about is favorite lip balms when we have to have at least 20+ topics on the subject already.

And, to add on to Caitlin's point, any forum I've EVER been on will lock threads if people continue to post multiples. They say there's already a thread for that and lock the new one. Done and done!

Hmmm that hit a nerve for some people it's just how I feel so I said it period ! This was not meant to bash anyone I didn't bash anyone at all. If you took this personal then I don't know what to tell you ! I'm not going to act like a child and argue on here so carry on let's just agree to disagree :) have a great day

@caitlin that's what I mean as well like when I get on I see a bunch of topics that make me jus close beautylish or when I have valid topics and questions why post them to barely get answers but absolutely ridiculous topics get dozens of comments I don't know if it's me or what if I wanted to see this nonsense ill just open Facebook or instagram

what the heck is with all these topics about how bad this site is getting?? toughen up ladies! if your offended take a moment to be mad then get over it! same with all these pists about young girls! if u dont like their posts...dont read! dont comment! not trying to start anything but im just saying theres wayyy too much drama on this app and jyst bc someone has an opinion on portfolio pics doesnt make them wrong. i read that thread and found it moreso to be advice from her to other women not to bash others. she was sharing an opinion. i agree with u krystle there are rude ppl on here and this is a site to bond about what we are passionate about but at the same time there are bullies everywhere. get over it and toughen up a bit.

I haven't seen mush -lish exept for a few times with newbies who quickly get in line and some truly suffering sisters who needed and deserved the safe support of this community for very serious and worthwhile life problems and quite frankly I'm happy to listen/advise to any one who is going through that kind of suffering. Sometimes young ladies need the strength of some sisters to overcome the trials in their lives. I hope this is a safe place to do that as much as it is a fun place to learn which toothpaste whitens best and the best way to use gel eyeliner.

Did this just recently become an app? Is that what it is? Maybe if it was just the website still there wouldn't be so many issues. I prefer the website a hundred times over!
