Some of us like to read reviews before purchasing the latest makeup products. I myself am one of them. How about you?

I try to. But sometimes you stumble onto to something you didn't even know about. I've bought something, brought it home, looked for reviews and returned the item before actually opening it up.

Sometimes I do if it's a more expensive product to see if it's really worth the money :)

If its an expensive product I either do some extensive reviewing or go to a store, let them apply the product on me and if it lasts nicely all day, I'll go back and buy it. If it's a cheap product though, I don't really bother reading reviews at all as I sort of expect the product not to be so brilliant anyway.

Always! When I first started wearing makeup I didn't read reviews, which made me waste soooooo much money! I never ever ever ever... ever lol buy without reading reviews first!!

I always do research before any makeup haul. I make a list of items I want based on good reviews 👍

For sure.

I will for skincare products but not really for makeup. I also ask about products on here to get a general consensus about a product as well. I have no problem returning something that I don't like so if it's a pretty even opinion on if something is good or bad I'll try it out and just return it if I don't like it.

All the time! I like to have an idea what I am purchasing because I'm a teenager in high school and I don't have money to waste on makeup that I won't end up liking!

I try too, especially if it's a new brand to me. I don't hold reviews to high regard though, because most people are completely bias. I try to read the reviews that are well written more than those that aren't.

I agree when it comes to new products and sometimes products that I am considering purchasing for the first time.

I always do! But I don't trust YouTube reviews since most of those are sponsored.

Always. I spend an agonizing amount of time researching every purchase I make. It's a bit ridiculous actually since I know I can always return something if it doesn't work out for me...which I do all the time anyways lol.

Reviews are specific to different to people and will not apply to everyone so I tend to not read em.Also, reviews give me a sort of reverse placebo effect in my mind without having had bought anything. Especially when someone breaks out because of a product. Bleh.

Lately I have been more often just to avoid spending money on bad products. even when I stumble across something I do some fast research on my phone.

Absolutely! But I take into consideration the fact that some people don't like a product because of the price, the amount of product included or they may have a different skin type. I also try to see what women my age have to say. If I see too many negatives, I tend to pass.

Heck yes! I'm a research junkie so I enjoy it either way lol.

Sometimes if I'm going to invest in something more expensive I might do a 'bit of research' but other than that not really!☺️

I usually check makeupalley website or their app. Tons of reviews and you can filter by age and skin type.
