@Leanne D, First off invest in a really good volume mousse. I personally use Paul Mitchell's extra body foam, and its great. If you're trying up styles I would get a really good hair spray to keep it in place as well as bobby pins. I use big sexy hair spray. All of their hair sprays are amazing, you could stand in hurricane winds and its not going anywhere. OK I don't actually know that but its awesome. Lol.

Shirlz A, I would totally try Paul Mitchell's regular tea tree line! If you have a sensitive scalp I wouldn't suggest this product because it tingles on your head, and it could feel like burning. But if you don't have a sensitive scalp go for it its amazing and totally worth the price. Plus it smells like peppermint. I hope I helped.

@Savanna M, I really don't know how long that will take honestly, because everyone's hair is different. This time of year it goes slower because of the dry air and it being so cold out (your nails grow slower too, it sucks). I would suggest trimming JUST your ends every 2 months and no longer. Because it may grow, but if your stylist takes off 1 1/2 inches it might just stay that length. Also invest in biotin vitamins. It'll help your hair and nails grow. To train your hair I would use a round brush when you blow dry it, and if you don't blow dry it start to. About adding volume, I would definitely get layers all through out your hair. I have fine hair too, but you can't tell right? Lol. Try not to wash your hair everyday, you're stripping your hair of its natural oils. Try using a dry shampoo in between washes. I would use a volume mousse by the way too. Oh, and no offense your hair looks really dry, and it looks like you flat iron it, please keep the temp at a lower, and use a flat iron heat spray please!

@Nicole H, I don't think the color was strong enough for your hair. Maybe it was something in your hair? Idk. But you can use bleach to get to the color you want too. You can always do some blonde pieces on top and keep your natural color underneath, that's what I have and its called color blocking.

I have short hair. it goes a little past my shoulders now but not much. Anyways this summer it was down a lot past my neck. But it started to get shorter, Was it breakage? I don't straighten my hair much anymore. And i see the length coming back a little now since im not putting so much heat on it. But the ends of my hair are fried. My hair is layered and i'm kinda scared to get a trim because i'm not sure how it will turn out since my hair is layered. I'm having hair problems. lol

Lisa first of all thanks for your help :)
Second - I have black curly hair..kinda dry..I want to make it look more "soft"/feminine so I thought about doing ombre ( brown tones..keeping it natural)..or should I do highlights? What do you think?

@Lisa - omg love this thread!
Not sure if this is a type of question you'd answer, hope so! (mostly i've seen questions about dyes/cuts/etc). But I have fine hair, and I don't have a lot of hair!! It's also currently very dry - which I'm working on :)
My question is do you have any advice for types of hair-do's? I try doing certain buns and what-not and I just don't have enough hair for it too look right! It either doesn't stay in the bun or just looks like theres nothing there.
Looking for things to do w/ my hair other than ponytail, side ponytail, and straight (and basic braid) And it rarely holds a curl.

I'm having problem with dandruff for few months now. I've tried head and shoulders and nizoral shampoo but still it's not getting better. I've also tried massaging with olive oil or coconut oil. Any suggestions?

My first question is- I really want to grow my hair out (with the exception if trimming dead/split ends) right now, my hair is about armpit length in the front, and just peaking mid-back in the back, I really want it to be like... Mid-stomach length. How long would that take? (When I get my hair trimmed, Kate takes off about 1 1/2 Inches) my second question is how can I train my hair? I want it to be pulled completely forward, I'll add a pic of what I want my hair to look like:) my third question, I have REALLY fine hair, and it's really hard to get volume in it, it falls so easily and leaves residue in my hair when I use too much product (I already have to wash my hair EVERY day so it won't get really greasy) what can I do? And I'm wanting more layers, so I can tease my hair up, because I can never get it unless Kate does it, how many layers should I get? Sorry for pounding you with all these questions but Kate is leaving for Cali and I don't know who to go to anymore with my haircare questions3: and I need a new stylist quick>_< thank you for helping^_^
