I've oily skin and I thought for yeeeeeears untill the last month that I didn't need to moisturize my skin cuz was oily enough! But what u think? I was completely WRONG when u have oily skin your skin produces more oil cuz' u don't moisturize it and it just think it have to produce more to complete them... I'm wearing EFFACLAR moisturizing for oily skin and it works a lot for me it really helps u and there's one I didn't try it yet that is moisturizing and also matting from EFFACLAR too but probably is good! But use a moisturizing u will see a good difference

Hm ok I forgot to mention that I always use a thermal water spray which also has a moisturising effect, and most days I do moisturise twice, just not every single day. In fact I heard dermatologists say that there's no scientific proof that using less moisturiser is going to motivate the skin to produce more oil.. might work for some people, but unfortunately not for me, I honestly didn't notice the slightest difference myself so far. I'm not trying to talk against all the time, it's just my personal experience :/ I'm 33, so I've had quite a lot of time for experimenting so far haha
Thanks for your reply! :)

I would try mac face and body or urban decay naked skin. They are very thin so they look like u have nothing on. Just perfect skin! Also try using a Matte primer if u get oily.

Ysabella, thanks for your reply! I've heard a lot of good things about face and body.. can't really get hold of Urban Decay where I live, and ordering a foundation you haven't tried is too risky I think. And I need more coverage I think..
For primer I use either MAC Skin Refined Zone Treatment which is great for mattifying but doesn't work with the PL foundation, or Smashbox Photo finish which does a great job at smoothing the skin

Hey Amiee, thanks a lot for your wordy reply, I really appreciate that! :)
They are both medium/buildable coverage foundations, and I know that the brush you use can make a big difference! Most of the time I use the Real Techniques expert face brush, I really like it.. does a great job at applying foundation very evenly and blends it in very nicely. In fact I was considering trying the Beauty Blender, I'm normally not a big fan of sponges but this thing looks actually very useful and efficient ;)
I'd lve to try the NARS foundation, the problem is that some brands are really hard to get hold of in my country. And as I said in my previous post, ordering a foundation over the internet is a bit tricky, finding the right colour and so on... have you ever tried this? I think I really need to try it on before I buy it, as I have a bit of a hard time finding the right shades for me anyway :/
I'd also like to try a mineral foundation, it's just that I've read many reviews with people saying that it emphasizes lines, wrinkles and so on.. but I'm sure that doesn't apply to every single mf.
Anyway, I think I definitely need to experiment a bit more as I got stuck in a rut somehow ;)

Switch to bb cream or mix with moisturizer, apply to slightly damp face. Also remember to exfoliate weekly. Clinique makes a very light coverage foundation.
