if your mom doesn't want you using a foundation you could opt on using a bb cream or using a tinted moisturizer instead. that way its good for your skin and gives you a more natural and less cakey face.

Try convincing her for a bb cream or tinted moisturizer! It's light but gives you coverage at the same time!

Instead of going behind moms back ask her if she would be willing to let you try a tinted moisturizer or a bb cream. They are great alternatives and most have the added benefit of sun screen. She will notice foundation and then you will have broken some trust, it's not a pleasant scenario.

I think you should try a tinted moisturizer. It's a light coverage it looks as if I'm not wearing any makeup at all with it on. I love it

thanks Ema! I just remember that age SO WELL. I hated that my mom said no and I hated that I felt no options but to sneak behind her back. Now that I have kids and live in this day and age I take much more time considering the mother daughter dynamic. It is important to me to raise girls that are smart, well mannered, confident in themselves (as well as their father and me), and understand how to get what they want out of life the right way. And of course, know how to apply their makeup tastefully, artistically, and just generally awesome ;)
