It bothers me that people think theyre trashy. I can see if theyre the ridiculous 3 inch ones, but not all of them. In my opinion theyre classy, you go to get your nails done and you take care of yourself. If you have natural nails that are dirty or chewed down or misshaped to me thats trashy. I rather see someone with nice acrylic nails done instead of chewed down stubs.

I knew this girl who would get acrylics and would keep them on for months at a time. Half of them had already fallen off and the other half had grown half way up her nail bed! So gross.

Regardless of how bad the majority of acrylics tend to look they are also seriously damaging to your nails if not applied and removed correctly. Gels are far better on terms of look, quality and general health for the nail.

People keep talking about how damaging to your nails acrylics are, there's so many things that can br damaging to our nails, water, dry weather, nail polish.... Gel is almost the same chemical compound as acrylic nails believe it or not. The thing is our nails GROW. Unless you've seriously injured the nail matrix your nails are going to grow out and be fine.

What they are doing today with long pointed, long and fanned out look trashy. Shorter acrylic nails that look natural are nice, unfortunately acrylics are terrible for your nails and take a long time to recover once you take them off.
