I'd go with almost any of the gels. Rimmel or even wet n wild work quite well.

Superdrugs own brand called 2true they have a black liquid liner, working in the cosmetic Industry I've never ever came across one to beat the 2true one, I think it comes in at £3 or 2 for £5 :)
