You say your acne clears up and then comes back? Does it usually flair up at a certain time in your menstrual cycle?

yes tiffany M. not just in the menstrual period. it comes up when i'm a bit stressed. couple of weeks ago i had such a perfect skin, than i bought clean and clear. neutrogena visibly clear and peeling products that i used at the same. i think that all of this turned to the opposit and make my skin go worse.

Hi coco. I work in dermo cosmetics and I just wanted to let you know to avoid anything like clean and clear or neutrogena it's best to go with the normaderm line from Vichy or any other line that uses thermal water. The thermal water will calm your skin down and remove any redness and the acne fighting products are gentle and affective.

As well a peel is dangerous for your skin right using when you have a breakout can cause you to have acne scarring

I had really bad acne about 2 years ago.. I started using proactiv and I hardly have a pimple on my fave now (get one once in a while ) but when I first starter using it , I broke out like crazy (cystic acne) I thought it just making it worse. but i kept using it religiously twice a day (they said its suppose to happen since it takes out all the junk first and then heals slowly) but then slowly maybe after a month or so it started healing and everything (my skin got really dry esp cuz of the sulfur mask they have in there) ...but now its so much better, almost clear .. give it a try.

Vaidehi- how long did your proactive take? How long till you started seeing results? Because I want to know if it's worth my money :P

I'm studying for esthetics and I've had clients come in that see the best results from coming in and getting facials regularly and getting either microdermabrasion or chemical peels (generally for more persistant)

if you feel like you have tried everything you shoukd try taking a step away from all the chemical face washes and try something naitral like trader joes tea tree oil facewash (worked wonders for me) also taking the vitamin zinc daily is very helpful for skin health and wont hurt you. it'll eather help skin get netter or you'll have no reaction so its worth a shot! ne sure to take zinc with some food though to avoid stomach achs!

Try some black soap. True black soap not the ones with extra stuff in it. Get the acne black soap bar by shea moisture at target or try extra natural black soap frm like an ethnic store. I truly works !!!!!

washing your face everyday with a gentle face wash, also if you use loads of makeup then that might make it worse if so just use less i hope this helps, it did with me
