Beauty Product Reviews

so far, so good

i have been trying to find a delicate vit c serum for a while now: something similar to glossier's super glow serum, in fact. all other vit c products i had were either too strong for what i was looking for, or a texture i didn't like. my friend recommended this specific take on vitamin c, saying it wasn't drying but was not sticky - also very light. sold!

as always, the prices of the ordinary's line make it difficult to step away from a product. i got this, & have been testing it for 4 or so days.

my one peeve with the ordinary is that most of their serums dry down very tacky; i doubt like that, needless to say. all of my ordinary products work - but i have to deal with the tackiness, which kind of sucks.

this one, however, i found to be extremely lightweight. no scent (from what i can tell), sinks in very quickly, & doesn't burn or tingle like some other vit c serums i have tried. there is a bit of tackiness, but not nearly as much as some other ordinary products.

my skin is bright, clear, & my pores are very tight - i find all of these things signs of a good, effective vit c product. i noticed these things after starting on this vial, so like i said: so far, so good. the only thing i don't love about the product is the (slight) tackiness. still - hard to argue about the consistency of a product that is cheap & effective!

as always, huge plus for the regimen stickers enclosed with every beautylish x the ordinary package...& the special care taken to wrap each product in brown paper tied with string!

finally was able to give this cult favorite a go!

i ordered the ordinary's zinc + niacinamide serum through beautylish - my second ordinary purchase thru beautylish because 1) faster shipping 2) lovely cute stickers that help organize a regimen! was so delighted to get these little samples with the product i paid for...& so far, it truly lives to the hype. no stinging, removes makeup quickly & easily, doesn't rub roughly on a cotton pad. i have been using garnier's micellar water...but i think i have been converted. thank you beautylish!

Cute & effective!

ordered The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 & was pleasantly surprised to see these cute stickers come in my package! reminiscent of glossier's stickers included in every order, i love the functionality of these - also serve as a nice reminder for when to use a product & what to use it with (ex.SPF). i'll definitely be using these on my other ordinary purchases as well as on some other products that could use reminders as well! also great for those new to skincare - if you're unsure of what order to use you products in, these stickers have your back
