Wayne Goss: The Best Selling Colors
Reviews
High End Feel, Soft and Beautiful Application
This palette is wonderful IF you know what you're getting when you buy it. Do your research, watch reviews...make sure it's what you're going for. I feel this is right on-brand for Wayne, and I am happy with it. It's the perfect "everyday" palette for me. It's definitely not meant to provide a punch of color for an ultra glam/Instagram look. The pans are huge, and I don't know how I'll ever use up everything. I have pale skin, and the two purple shades are close enough that they basically look the same on my skin, so I use those interchangeably. But still, beautiful satin finishes and soft, luxurious texture! The sheer glitter shade is stunning over your favorite lid color.
Like but don't love
This is the first Wayne Goss item I have ever purchased. The dark plum shade is my favorite, and I do love it. I do love the larger pans, because more often than not I apply my shadows w/ my fingers. My only real disappointment is the shade range w/in the palette, and the shade overlap w/ his other palettes. Which I'll admit, is something that's hard to balance. If this was my only palette in the world, I would want a black. But this isn't my only palette in the world, so it's a little annoying that the brown shade and gold topper shade are pretty much identical to the ones in his Topaz palette.
more work than it's worth
Perhaps I am spoiled by my highly pigmented ND shadows, but I just didn't get along with this palette. The two lighter shades came off as chalky or just didn't show up. The burgundy shade was a strange combination of medium pigmentation & blendability..which meant it just blended away as I tried to build it. The Celestial shade is nothing special. This makes me really sad because I wanted this palette for soooo long & it's just not for me.
Easy to Create Really Nice Looks
I took this on a 2-week trip and was impressed that it was super easy to use in terms of getting some really nice eye looks. I also own Imperial Topaz and Pearl Moonstone but enjoy Tourmaline's colour combo best. I think the great thing about Wayne's eye shadows is that they are not super pigmented such that for non-pros like myself, the risk of getting it wrong is probably negligible. Also as a mature person with hooded eyes, it's much easier to manage. Only thing is that the palette itself is still a killer to open.
10/10 Even better than I expected
I really thought that the Pearl palette was going to be the one that stole my heart (and it’s also beautiful and wonderful) but no it was this one- tourmaline. The shades are soft and smooth and give a glowing l, soft focus effect to my eyes. They aren’t garish or too much. The colors are soft but they bring out my green eye color. I find myself reaching for this palette when I want to feel pretty. Love it.
Beautiful
Love the colors in this pallet. I also love the way the shadows go on. I have hazel/green eyes and the colors work well me. I am also in my mid 60s so a lighter touch is better for me. The gold glitter is a bit much for me. I also like to use the shadows as a eyeliner. Beautiful
Not worth the price for me
Beautiful Color story unique Color’s for sure. Might have gotten a bad batch but Color’s weren’t at all pigmented used brush used my fingers not worth the 55$ sucks wanted to love it as much as the influencers did.
