Purchased these because of two reasons: the name of the style "Are Those Real?", which would imply they're pretty natural looking. They definitely aren't if you have short Asian lashes like I do. Can't really fault them for that because it's not their fault for me being born with the most pathetic excuse for lashes. And second reason because they were a longer use pair than my go to of Ardells. When I received them, I loved the softness of the lashes, but didn't think they looked any better than my Ardells. I immediately noticed that the band was thicker, which I assumed contributed to it being able to be used more than 20 times.
Now the reasons for the one star review. They are ridiculously uncomfortable. Maybe it's my almond eye shape or the fact that the band is so thick. I wore them twice and I couldn't close my eyes with them on because the ends would dig into my eyes. Even with my eyes open, I could always "feel" the band, in an annoying way. Almost like I had something in my eyes. Which leads to another reason why I couldn't stand them. Because the band is so thick a lot of glue adhered to the surface and so much of it was left on the band after taking them off. When I would try to gently pull off the remaining glue at the end of the night, which was Duo eyelash glue, a couple strands of the lashes were pulled off. So I immediately tried a gentler alternative of putting eye makeup remover on the band. When I did this, the lashes just completely came off the band. Almost like my eye makeup remover melted the adhesive that kept the mink strands attached to the band! They didn't come with specific care instructions, other then to remove all remaining glue off after each use. I threw these away after TWO uses! What a waste of money! Never purchasing these again.
This was my first time ordering Velour lashes, and my god they are worth the money. I've only worn them twice, but I already know I'll be ordering more. The lash band molds very well to the eye, the lashes are soft and (forgive my crudeness) they stay on during sex. Highly recommend this product.
