These brushes are seriously sooo good, and I own more brushes than about 99% of people from low end to high end. These are some of the best synthetic eye brushes I have tried. They are so soft and apply eyeshadows just as good as some of my most expensive eye brushes that I have. They also have a weightiness to them that feels very luxe to me, which is something I did not expect. You can literally create any look using just these brushes. They are great for every day use and travel as well, as they come in such nice carrying case that snaps closed. For this price point, you can't go wrong!
Units!!! You must stop doing this! You must stop stealing my money and making these brushes that are effortlessly amazing in every way! Can we start with my favorite brush, the blending brush? I'm a "you can never have too many blending brushes" type of girl and when I saw this large blending brush I had to have it. This is what originally led me to getting the set. My goodness. I was caught off guard for sure. I already love all my brushes in the Master Collection but this new 200 Series is so luxe and satisfying.
The handles are semi-matte and nicely weighted. Length of the handles are medium range so they're not short and not long, right in the middle. Lastly, the quality of the bristles are so soft and do not shed a ton after washing (I've washed mine two times now).
After the blending brush, my second runner up in favorites is the packing brush (second brush from the left in pic). This packing brush not only tapers to a perfect end but it's also compact enough to smudge product on the lower lash line.
Sadly, in the past I have purchased synthetic hair brushes from retailers and they are twice as much and half as good. Not doing that anymore. Whatever they make you can sign me up for because I am a believer now. I hope they come out with more of the 200 Series because it is to dieeeeeee for given the unbeatable price.
This is my first purchase from this brand. I have been eyeing Units since they first launched on Beautylish.com, but didn't think they looked like anything different from what I already own. Then I read the reviews on this 200 series set and the price was so good I decided to try them. I am blown away. I own so many brushes from so many brands. These are amazing. I would pay much more for these now that I know how they perform. Perfect for professional makeup artists because the branding is discreet. They feel light in the hand, but not cheap. The bristles are luxurious and silky soft, but they still pick up and blend powders beautifully. If you are a beginner these are also a good choice because they are great shapes and sizes. These brushes really do the work for you. Applying and blending eyeshadow has never been so effortless. You get five brushes plus a case for $30! I can't recommend these strongly enough. Buy them now, you won't regret it. If you don't want to own a ton of different eye brushes this set is ideal. These are all you need for any eye look. The only addition I might make is an angled brush with spoolie on the end for brows. There is a great MAC 217 dupe in this set that is such a multitasker. The smaller pencil style brush has a nice amount of give for blending along the lower lash line and defining the outer corner of the eye. The flat shader brush is nice and small so it is easy to get color on the inner corner of the eye. The larger blending brush helps get a perfect blend as you go along. I could go on and on, but I am so impressed. If I were rebuilding my brush collection from scratch, I would purchase a bunch of these sets without hesitation.
Ok so I took a chance and ordered this set. Let me say that I’m so glad I did. I have now found brushes that are cost effective and work just as good as their high priced counterparts.
I love these brushes, so soft, everything blends so well. The brushes are easy to clean and seem to help with fallout. Would definitely buy again.
I am torn because I love the concept of units and I really like the face brushes. I loved 2 of the brushes from this set, disliked one and am indifferent on 2. If I had a teenage daughter or friend on a budget looking for a place to start with brushes I would suggest these. But if you've been on the Wayne Goss, Smith and Sonia G train then these may not impress you. I threw them in my back up kit for days on set when we have so many faces and no time for spot cleaning. I would compare them in performance to MAC brushes. They do the job, but I don't think they make it easier like a Sonia G brush does.
These are the softest eye brushes I’ve ever owned, the bristles feels so good against delicate skin around the eyes, zero poking/dragging, and blends color beautifully. At this price, you need these in your life!
So, I wanted to try some affordable brushes. I have tried wet'n wild, colourpop and a few others. Units seemed pretty legit and the other reviews seemed positive. They came a little wonky due to the way the package was put together, that wasn't a huge problem just meant that I had to wash and lay them to dry prior to using them. However, when I was washing the skinny brush the bristles popped out. That was frustrating. These weren't very expensive and I was purchasing them to simply see how they performed so I'm not complaining and I would recommend them but don't wash aggressively.
