Salicylic Acid 2% Solution is a water-based exfoliating serum with salicylic acid.
This treatment exfoliates deep inside the walls of pores to fight acne, oily skin, and blemishes. It promotes smoother skin texture and visible clarity with regular use.
Apply a small amount all over your face or directly to blemishes as a spot treatment. Use in the morning and at night before oils, moisturizers, and creams. This product should not be used on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin.
Beta hydroxy acids may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product.
Yes. Salicylic acid has been shown to reduce acne by exfoliating congested skin and soothing inflammation and blemishes.
Products with salicylic acid are not recommended for use while pregnant or breastfeeding.

I am using 2% BHA liquid from Paula's Choice daily and loving it. You can really see and feel your skin getting smoother the next day of use without any irritation. Wanted to find similar products as it's not convenient for me to purchase Paula's Choice products from where I stay. So I decided to try it out with Ordinary line.
It is in clear gel formula and when you rub it in your skin, it starts to foam. I tried it with lesser movement during application, and the result is the same.
I waited for it to sink in and absorb before applying another hydrating serum, and it foams up again, seems like whatever you put after, gives it moisture to foam again. I am going to give it more shots before putting it away. But I can say I really don't like the application experience.
I want to love Ordinary line as it is so affordable and the packaging is just sleek and simple, but I haven't tried anything that I actually like and enjoy the experience or see any result from application.
I purchased the Buffet and it is extremely sticky upon application, just like you put glue on your face. I endured a bottle of application which took a month's time. Didn't see any result and I threw the other backup away.
Currently using Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA, it is sticky as glue but I am going to finish a bottle before concluding.
I still have Lactic Acid 5% and Azelaic Acid from Ordinary yet to use. But I am not expecting much.
For now, I am pretty sure that I will never purchase from Ordinary line ever again... it is an overhyped brand from Youtube. It is cheap, $6 or $8 a bottle but if it gives such weird application and no result is seen or felt.. it is still a waste of money. Save up for better ones.
This product works so well for spot treatments! You only need a little and it’ll dry out your problem areas overnight. It can be very drying so I recommend using it sparingly, but otherwise it does the job, no wonder it’s always out of stock!!
I have oily skin with the occasional pimple but nothing serious however I do have blackheads so I decided to give this product a try since I kept hearing great things about it plus the reviews yes it is affordable but it really did absolutely nothing for me lol no helping of pores or oiliness or reducing blackheads the only thing it did was giving me dry skin and rough dry spots plus I tried it for a whole month I didn't expect much but I though maybe it will help a little with something nope I would not buy instead I might try out their aha and bha peel we shalll see but would not recommend
This product works great. It’s very mild so if you’re over 25 and can’t risk your skin drying out from the use of harsh chemical treatments then I suggest you try this. I use it every evening before applying the azeliac acid suspension (which is recommended by my dermatologist) and it’s being clearly my skin without causing irritation:)
I used to get hormonal acne, and surprisingly enough this has completely taken care of that issue. I just got my period, I didn't get a single blemish. I swear this product is amazing and is a miracle worker. You only need it where you tend to break out or you can place it on an existing blemish and it will wipe it away! I think this is my 2nd week using it, I apply it daytime and nighttime, on my cheeks around my jawline, my chin and my forehead. Clear skin!!! My skin looks healthy and glowing too. Highly recommend. I'm ordering two more bottles this week!
I’ve tried several different salicylic acid solutions, and this one is my favorite by far. Not only is it very affordable, its viscous, hydrating base makes it a lot easier to work with than the liquids I previously tried. I like to use this for the BHA exfoliant step in my skincare routine, and it layers beautifully with either glycolic acid or lactic acid as my AHA. This concentration and pH level do a nice job of keeping breakouts at bay without causing any irritation. I will keep buying it as long as The Ordinary keeps producing it and Beautylish keeps making it available. One of my ride-or-die products.
I purchased 2 bottles of this several weeks ago and it's great. It kind of gel like and a little goes along way. If you end up with what looks like white foam on your skin while applying, it's ok just keep rubbing it in. It makes my skin look brighter and it's slowly but surely loosing up my blackheads and is helping clear my acne with causing more breakouts. There is no scent!
