There’s been a lot of buzz about the beneficial effects of Resveratrol. When another vendor introduced a Resveratrol line I tried it. I'm in my 60's & am showing signs of aging but still had acne, - I always had about 10 pimples on my face in varying stages of healing. This new line made the usual anti-aging claims & I only hoped it wouldn’t aggravate my acne. At 1st I saw no real improvement, but at about one month, I thought I noticed subtle changes in my acne. My pores starting “unclogging” by becoming small pimples that resolved within a day or 2 (most of my pimples were larger and took a week or 2 to heal, then left brown marks behind that could take several months to disappear) Though it seemed I was breaking out more, my smaller pimples healed so quickly & my pores looked smaller. By 6 months I was certain that it was due to Resveratrol but since the product description did not mention this, I did some research (i.e. google). There are multiple studies that show the “sustained bacterial growth inhibition” of Resveratrol on acne. Other articles and user reviews corroborated this plus similar results with Rosacea. By 1 year, my complexion was transformed. I know it is the Resveratrol because I had a severe skin reaction to one of my products and had to stop using everything until the culprit could be identified (6+months later, it was a sunscreen ingredient). By then, my skin resumed breaking out & it took another year of Resveratrol to clear it up. The other vendor discontinued their Resveratrol line – I can only guess because of many users complaints they saw no improvement after only a few weeks’ use. After discovering The Ordinary, I had hoped they would come out with their own Resveratrol. I am so thrilled they did. I have been using it for about 2 months (at night after water-based products but before oil-based products & moisturizers) . I am seeing even more improvement – a testament to the quality of their products. I would recommend using this product not only for acne, but for its anti-aging & anti-inflammatory properties. Just be patient & don’t expect immediate result.
This product is an excellent add-on to your moisturizer for extra hydration; it makes my skin feel more supple and really locks in a moisture punch!
I have been using for a little over 3 weeks and I have seen texture improvement and a subtle glow to my skin. I realized the last week or so that I hadn't used my highlighter on my cheeks. I usually use a little each day, but hadn't though to use it. I realized that my face was glowing by itself. yay. I use this under my night cream every night. I don't usually use it during the day but may try. I had no break-outs or redness while using this. I have sensitive skin, so I was really surprised. I am a 100% in love with this product.
This is a great addition to my routine. I cocktail this with the Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% in the morning and I noticed a brighter, smoother, more moisturized complexion within days.
I use other products from The Ordinary, but my super dry aging skin needed more moisture. I added Resveratrol to my PM skincare and my skin drank it up and became very happy. I awoke with a glow from within. Love it!!!
I need more time using this product to know if it works long term. I love how it’s been making my skin feel for two weeks now. I look more radiant!
I’ve been using it whenever I remember to (not every day, maybe a few times a week), and my skin has improved over the month or two I’ve been using it, in between or with other The Ordinary products. I put some on my mom, it made a dramatic difference on her dry skin. I gave her a bottle for Mother’s Day. She has rosacea and dry spots that sometimes look inflamed, now it’s looking almost like porcelain. Smaller pores, reduced redness, even smoothed out fine lines. Recommended for everyone, but it really made a difference on my mom’s more mature and problematic skin.
I combine 2-3 drops of this with 3 drops of the The Buffet and 2 drops of Matrixyl 10% + HA. My skin is plumper, smoother and far brighter than it has ever been!!! This is exceptionally hydrating and has not caused a single breakout. I use this combo twice a day and my skin has done nothing but thank me.
