I decided to try this as I liked their Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Serum. The Marine Hyaluronics is more fluid and lightweight, whereas the HA 2% is thicker and more gel-like in consistency. A problem I did notice with the HA 2% is that it tends to pill up when I layer oils (I use the 100% Plant-Based Squalene) over it, but I didn't notice this happening with the Marine Hyaluronics, so it layers better under makeup. The only drawback is the smell - it's hard to describe, but it reminds me of my dad's old rusty toolbox. Fortunately, it does fade rather quickly, so it doesn't bother me that much. I've started to use this in the mornings as it's more lightweight for the hot summer days, and save my HA 2% for nighttime use instead. I would probably repurchase after finishing my bottle.
I purchased this item after trying and loving the Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5 Serum. The HA+B5 is more gel like in consistency while the Marine Hyaluronics is like water so I have to use more! It isn't as moisturizing on my skin but it mixes alot better with my 100% L-asorbic acid powder. The only thing I am having trouble dealing with is the scent...the HA+B5 has no scent while the Marine Hyaluronics smells very unpleasant. It's hard to describe, it's like something is starting to go bad or like old coins from your grandparents house. If you don't like scents of any kind you won't like this!
I absolutely love this product. I live in the desert where it is hot and dry and my skin is super dry too. I have a couple of eczema spots on my skin and this Hyaluronic acid has helped calm it down. I'm religious to this product.
Very watery and lightweight.. easily absorb into skin, similar to as if you put on Facial Treatment Essence. My skin loves it!
use this in the summer under the azelaic stuff. watery consistency.. absorbs pretty easily.. Bear in mind.. i have never had a problem with any product smell (this includes perricone that almost everybody says smells like old fish..) But this stuff REALLY smells bad. I t definitely smells "marine" but more like seaweedthat's been lying on the shore for a week than fresh ocean. I still use it though.
This absorbs super quickly and, I can’t quite put my finger on the what or why, but my face instantly feels and looks 10x better! It is a bit difficult to get spread evenly but I’ll be ordering it again and again and again.
I used the hylauronic acid 2% and B5 serum and I liked it but it had a tendency to start piling when I rub my other face oil on and didnt feel like it really absorbed. This new marine hyaluronics is an absolute gift. Very light and not oily and absorbs into my skin like a dream. I will from now on be using this
I love this as a quick moisturizer when I don't want to use gels or creams. Fragrance free and works well day and night. No irritation! I'm currently using this in hot tropical summer!
As others have said, it is very watery. It does have a smell. Sort of like spoiled milk. But its faint and dissipates immediately. I'm personally not bothered by that to be honest, but definitely something you should know when purchasing. I love patting this over my skin before my other moisturizers. I usually do 2 or 3 layers. What I especially love is that it immediately moisturizes my lips! I sometimes pay it under my lip balm, sometimes over. It's amazing! It makes my dry lips feel so much better pretty much right away. I'll keep a bottle of this with me as long as they continue to make it.
I used to use, and love, the Hyaluronic acid from the ordinary but decided to try out this instead, as I didn't feel like the Ha as revolutionary for my skin. This on the other hand is! I apply a few drops at night before bed about 2 times a week and every time I wake up the next day and feel like my skin is smoother, brighter, hydrated and glowing! I love this!
