A Dream!

I have been wanting to change my foundation for quite some time. I've tried the pricey Sephora bought foundations and was lately using a drugstore brand but they all just resulted in an oilslick on my face due to the almost year round humidity of our tropical climate. I randomly came across The Ordinary while looking for skincare products and was surprised to see that they have a foundation as well. I thought what the heck, it is practically the same cost as the drug store foundations. I bought 2 shades of the coverage foundation and one of the serum. Honestly, I didn't have much hope that this would be any different than the others but HOLY SH*TE it is! This baby goes on like a damn dream and actually stays on pretty well... I set it with regular face powder. Normally with a lot of foundations I can feel it sitting on my skin, almost like a mask but with this I forget that I am even wearing makeup. Good Lord, I think I have finally found the one for me. I have been wearing it for the past 3 weeks and so far it has held up in what feels like a million percent humidity. My only concern now that I have found it, is that beautylish doesn't ship to my country. Must start devising a plan in order to get it here. Also, shoutout to Beautylish for their incredible packaging, I was seriously blown away.

Very impressed with the quality!

Great coverage. I felt like this foundation was more of a "natural" finish rather than matte, but still looked great on the skin! It stayed on the skin nicely. I usually apply it with a dense brush and buff it out, then go in with my sponge to tap it into the skin and it looks so natural. I will be purchasing more shades to mix! :) just wish they'd come out with more shades.

Meh

I bought shades to mix into what should be a good match for my skin. The medium tones (which I normally wear in all other brands) were WAY too dark for my skin. Thank goodness I bought a lighter tone, too. By mixing the lighter with the medium tones, I get a decent match.

As far as coverage, here is the weird part: it's good, even though I didn't expect it to be. It s very watery coming out of the bottle. However, with a beauty blender, I get a pretty good light coverage and decent wear. ((I do use a primer and setting spray)) I prefer the coverage and color of my other brands but I'm too cheap to throw away 3 bottles.

So I find it ok for an every day, casual look, but I am unlikely to purchase it again.

Better than I expected!

It’s like $7 so I didn’t expect much but tbh I was just being cheap and I also heard rave reviews from a YouTube guru. Well I’m pleasantly surprised at how smooth it goes onto my skin! I was afraid it was gonna be too light but the shade is PERFECT and that alone got me stoked. After applying and letting it sit for a while I didn’t turn into an Oompa Loompa! The coverage is mega amazing and that’s even without primer and concealer so I can just imagine it WITH! I’ll definitely be buying this product again when I’m out. My ONLY complaint is I WISH IT WAS BIGGER bc I’m greedy.
