I sound like a broken record on social media beauty forums and pages: If you have fair skin, Grisaille is a must!
It's a gorgeous and easy to use and manage contour shade. It has just enough life in it to use as your blush, and it is perfect for the eyes to create a no-makeup look, or just a quick out the door situation.
The formula melds with the skin beautifully, and never "sits" on top looking obvious. It is not one of those lifeless flat and matte shades, but at the same time, there is no shimmer. It somehow just looks like you are getting your 8 glasses of water a day and taking your multi vitamin and eating green things and your skin is singing because of it.
This shade is like complexion lingerie. You start here and build in with your bronzer and blush. Or, just wear it by itself. The trick is to WEAR IT.
I also own the Cantaloup shade, and it's a must for layering and creating unique combinations. Pretty on its own, but when used with other shades it creates other-worldy beautiful hues you can't get even in one of those mineralized multi mixed baked on a tile in Italy situations. And again, the formula melds like a second skin.
I would own more of these if I could see them in person to test and play.
My biggest complaint is the packaging. I wish they did magnetized pans instead of these peel and stick deals. The blush (and eyeshadow) do come with a sliding cover, but be careful as they are small outside of a palette, and you'd easily lose one to a floor vent if dropped. It is not enough to keep me from purchasing. I just hold out hope he'll magnetize someday soon.
This is absolutely stunning I’ve searched for a color like this for a long time it’s a perfect peachy orange creamsicle color it’s pigmented but not too pigmented it’s smooth silky and I’m in love. This is my third blush from Surratt and I need them all!!!!
It’s a really finely melted blush and on the skin is naturally beautiful not feeling “blush” color. Use as eyeshadow is really beautiful soso good. I can’t stop using it since I got it.
First off, I adore Beautylish and the thoughtfulness behind their curation of products. I was beyond excited for this blush but when my order arrived I was completely shocked at how tiny this blush is.... just a little over the length and width of two fingers. No exaggeration. Not to mention the sliding compact design is what I would expect from a dollar store. So inefficient. The blush itself is fine but for $32 ($40 Canadian), the value and design is a disappointment. There are products a third of the price that deliver and hopefully I can return this and invest in them instead.
I have this blush in two shades-Tu Me Fais Rougir and La Vie En Rose and absolutely adore them both! The texture of these make them extremely easy to apply and you will get the perfect result each and every time. They’re both a bit on the stiffer side but this is purposeful so that you do not pick up too much product. I have definitely had that experience of a blush being too soft, accidentally picking up too much and then having a hell of a time blending the color out. This is not to say that the stiffness hinders your ability to pick up product, as I can assure you it does not. I would honestly prefer if all my blushes were in this texture since application is literally fool-proof!
I have light-medium skin tone and the shade Tu Me Fais Rougir gives my skin so much life! I get a lit from within glow that makes me look well rested, nourished and incredibly healthy. While that all may not be true, but I can certainly fake it with this blush. What I like the most is both shades have a satin finish that mimics the texture of natural skin albeit with a barely discernible touch of luminosity but nothing over the top. Other than having the same name as the beautiful, classic French song, the shade La Vie En Rose is a great neutral color that goes with absolutely everything. It is essentially a nude blush that I think everyone should own one of in their collection, if only for the times you can’t decide which shade would go with your look. I also appreciate the slim profile packaging as it allows me to store and pack more. I can’t wait to collect more shades of these blushes!
