With 1.5 percent salicylic acid, this fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin. Tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil support clear skin, while hexylresorcinol and licorice naturally brighten the appearance of old acne discolorations for a more even-toned complexion.
Counterbalancing the potentially drying effects of salicylic acid, milk thistle and cucumber seed oil nourish the skin and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, without leaving a greasy residue. Chamomile and neroli soothe stressed, blemish-prone skin.
Apply a few drops to clean skin. For skin prone to purging, start with using it 2-3 times a week.
I swear by Sunday Riley Good Genes serum but I have had zero luck with their oils! I've tried the Luna oil, broke me out like a mofo in the past. My acnes aren't normally this bad, I mainly have them at my chin, but my acne got so much worse when I started using the UFO oil. What's worse? It's made me a flake monster, I can't even cover my acnes with foundation anymore! No amount of moisturiser seem to relieve the flakes, I want to continue trying out this oil, but 2 weeks in, my acnes are worse and my skin is literally peeling! When I used it for 3 days I noticed the peeling so I stopped using it, then my skin went back to normal, but very congested, so I started applying the UFO oil every day and my skin just hates it. I wanted to like this oil because I feel like it is supposed to do wonders for my skin problems but so far I've just hated it and I feel more self-conscious about my skin than ever! I'm gonna at this point stop using the UFO oil again so my chin can stop shedding like a snake, then I will just use it as a spot treatment and see if it actually treats my acnes at all! So as of now I give it 1 star!
This works wonders for adult acne prone skin. I️ swear by this product, it slows down my break out, my skin is clearer and smooth. I️ have fallen in love with every product I️ have tried from this brand
Okay, I put off this review because I kept thinking, this can't be as good as I think it is. It's going to stop sometime. I'm in the honeymoon period. There's a catch. I'm being fooled. But, no, *knock wood* *smudge sage* * lay salt*. It's real. I no longer get a cystic pimple when that time of the month rolls around. Not only that, this has to a large degree - not 100% - but seriously, a ton, cleared out the clogged pores on my nose that oxidize and look like blackheads - you know the ones that aren't raised but just look like little specks of dirt, and that I was constantly wanting to extract. I'm no longer looking in the mirror a few times a week, squeezing them out, doing damage to my face!
I was extremely wary of this one. I mean, it even warns on the box of a purging phase. I introduced this alone (as I do with all skincare products, but for this one, absolutely no makeup or anything at all added at this time either) and slowly, every other night, and just in my most acne-prone areas, the t-zone and lower cheek area. The smell is INTENSE. Another reviewer said it was tea tree, but no. I think maybe it is the cumin seed oil? It is like nothing I can describe - it's not really herbal or grassy or green. It's...unique. It made me low-level nauseous for about a week and a half, like the entire day, it is that pungent (like you can smell it before you even take it out of the package), but now I don't notice even notice it once it's done being applied to my face. So it's definitely an acquired taste. Happily, I didn't even experience any purging. I use three drops every morning after my toner with my Paula's Choice Resist C15 Booster serum before my The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil and moisturizer.
And guys, I can add a touch of this oil on a pimple and within less than 30 seconds the inflammation is taken down significantly. This stuff is seriously amazing. I can't see myself being without it. I bought the Martian toner first, and I don't know exactly what it's doing for me, but I like it, and I know I want Sunday Riley to keep doing her magic. Whatever she's doing in her products works for me.
On the other hand, this product seems to be a love it or hate it thing. I have read reviews where this has really effed people's skin up. And this replaced the Artemis oil, which was beloved by many, so proceed with caution. All I can tell you is that this is amazingly expensive, but I think it is so worth it. It is indispensable to me.
What makes this product unique is that it's a salicylic acid product in an oil-base, unlike most other chemical exfoliants in the market. I've been applying this liberally every day on my face since I got it and my skin has been clear with nary a blemish since I've been using this. I love this product, actually came to Beautylish to repurchase but just found out it's out of stock. Oh well.
I am definitely a Sunday Riley fan and have used Good Genes and Luna for years (thanks Caroline Hirons!). I got this as soon as it released and it's been a staple in my skin care routine since that time. I have combo/dehydrated/acne prone skin that has its bouts of fits, especially in reaction to products that it doesn't like. This oil is beautiful, but is NOTHING like Luna. I think people make the mistake of thinking that it will produce the type of results that the HG combo mentioned above will. This product can be used as a spot treatment (which I do frequently), or if you are on the oily side it can be used as an all over face oil. I have never had any sort of dryness occur when using this over my entire face, but the time that I do is when I feel like my skin needs a bit of a reboot and if it's been acting out in more than one area. The smell is interesting, but not a turn of for me. It is a green oil, but it doesn't apply or look green on your skin. I tend to use this product overnight for the best results for acne. If I'm spot treating, I can use it during the day under the rest of my skin care, but I apply it to the spot I'm treating right after I tone and mist. I find that this keeps oil at bay and can help reduce and eventually eliminate acne problems on the skin. It's not for everyone and results aren't overnight (though I can slow a pimple down rapidly, depending on which stage I catch it in). I highly recommend this for anyone with acne prone skin or combo skin needing a treatment or a continuous product to help prevent acne. Aloha!
I want to give this product a shot because I've heard it's amazing... But the smell literally almost made me puke. It's indescribable. If you buy good luck!
I have fairly clear, dry to normal skin however I suffer from hormonal break outs along my jaw line and sometimes my forehead. I bought this product after reading rave reviews and loving the ingredient list, I had another product that contained salicylic acid that was very expensive and wanted to replace it with something slightly more affordable but still containing salicylic acid. This product broke me out like no tomorrow, my skin was red and itchy. I decided to give it a fair chance as I also had a new moisturiser so tried this product for a week with no other new products... and it was definitely this. I’m really disappointed. Back to my expensive product because at least I know it works.
Sam R recommended this on her YouTube channel, and it hasn't failed me. I love this oil because my face is really congested at times (forehead, and hairline area), but after daily usage as my night oil I have noticed that my texture has gotten so much better! As for the smell, I absolutely love it. I think it's very earthy and spicy, but you get used to it.
I am a cystic acne sufferer and I was fearful at first but not anymore! I have been using this for 6 months and I havent had a single flare up!
Love Sunday Riley UFO products. I use this oil along with the mattifying toner and it has literally saved my skin. I was breaking out every single day and began using just these two products only and my skin is now smoother and practically blemish free. I only break out now when I eat rubbish. Please never stop selling this brand. I’m now trying CEO Range. Hopefully it will also be great!
