Lovely formula, would love more shades & better photos
As someone who more or less entirely shies away from non-nude lipsticks, I was so excited about this launch. And I agree with the general consensus that this formula is great – it doesn't feel drying, and overall it's just a joy to wear.
I also love the consideration of different lip tones, it helps for selecting the perfect shade. The biggest downside is just that – the lipstick colors are not true to the photo shades at all, which make selecting the photos to be very difficult. I've tried both Sami and Noa (the former of which was recommended to me in Sephora), before eventually landing on Naya which is pictured in the photo.
Personally I love this color, and it feels incredibly comforting and smooth on my lips, though depending on if you wear more cool-toned looks I feel it tends to pull a bit too gray at times.
I do also hope she comes out with more colors in the darker nude range, I'd love a more rosy brown pink color, or even just expanding between Naya and Nati, and darker NP shades after Yana.
Ultimately I give it 3 stars, because while I find the colors stunning, there's a lot of hunting you'll have to do in order to find the correct 'nude' color.17 found this helpful.Alyssa M. Aug 30, 2019
Perfect Nude Lipstick!!!
Natasha Denona has done it again! I'm obsessed with her new nude lipsticks. The formula is really creamy and hydrating. The finish is more of a satin cream finish... not matte, but not shiny. The colors are opaque and very wearable so far. I love Natasha for everyday... I wore Michelle yesterday, and really liked it too. I will definitely be purchasing more of these beauties. Great packaging, magnetic closer, and simple, classic design. The lipstick wears great on my lips... feels comfortable even after wearing it for a couples hours. I'm in LOVE!!!14 found this helpful.Brenda F. Sep 18, 2019
Formula is great but...
First of all, I must say the formula is wonderful. It is very creamy and feels great on the lips. My issue is with the shade Averyl. The swatch and lip model swatch are NOTHING like the shade in the tube. I ordered this shade because it is supposed to be a medium pink nude as per the description. There is zero pink in here and it is so light it makes me look dead. I'm fair and it is the same color as my face. It looks more like the Charlotte swatch. Either the swatch is incorrect or the incorrect shade was put in that tube. I'll still use it but I have to use a very pigmented pink lip liner all over my lips to make it wearable. I'd love more of these because I like the formula but I'm hesitant because I have no idea what the shades really look like. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the shade swatch mismatch and not because of the formula. The formula is fantastic.12 found this helpful.Sellma V. Mar 16, 2020
Picture very misleading
The color in the photo is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The ACTUAL color is a weird grayish/greenish/brown that makes me look sick. I bought two of them and both are the same color except one is lighter than the other. Not eligible for return, so I am stuck with two ugly color lipsticks :(6 found this helpful.Melissa K. Beautiful but doesn't have longevity.
I love the way this lipstick feels and smells but the longevity leaves a lot to be desired. This is one lipstick you definitely need a lip liner or lip primer with. If it doesn't have a base to stick to, immediately it will start to migrate from your lips beginning with the inner portion closest to your teeth. You'll see bare spots and then find it is fading away. Natasha is rather known for experimenting with formulas so I really hope she finds a good one soon because the color itself is lovely. For the performance, in the meantime, I get better results with Sephora's Lip Stories line which is a quarter of the price.2 found this helpful.
