The reason why I only rated the maybelline color tattoos 4.5/5 is because I wish they had more of a variety of neutral shades. Most of the colors are really bold and not wearable daily. I wish they would of come out with some sort of champagne like mac's bare study...then the color tattoos would be amazing. I only own one of the color tattoos but it is amazing. The last really long and it does not budge AT ALL until you remove it with makeup remover. This is a great product & will buy more if they ever come out with more neutral shades! :)
This product is really good. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Some cream/gel shadows I've tried don't work very well. This one, however, did an awesome job. It only creases a little after about 4 hours. I also wore it for 14 hrs (to see how long it would last) and the clour only faded a little. I defiantly recommend it, and plan to buy more. :)
I love these products!! They are very pigmented! The only downside of the products are that they do not stay on for 24 hrs. But they are very good in water. If I would wash my face and not use makeup remover on my eyes, the eyeshadow will come off only a touch. So if you went to the pool with it on I think you would be fine!:)
Wonderful texture, gentle shimmer, & long lasting. This is the shade I use the day after I long day at work or college, or if I have a coffee date. It opens up the eye and fakes a fresh face.
It's a fabulous primer for other shadows - it warms them up and makes powders last.
I have Bold Gold, Bad To the Bronze and Tough as Taupe. These are my absolute favorite drugstore shadows. The color payoff is amazing, and is usually the same as it seems in the jar. The formula keeps them on your eyes ALL day until you remove them, and honestly, you have to try pretty hard to get them off! I wish they made a primer in this formula. I absolutely love it.
I just bought this and already love it. I played with it and its a pretty versatile formula and shade. I like the Bold Gold shade because it can be dressed up or down. I especially like the dusted shimmer look of it, its eye catching!
I've bought a few of these and have been using them for a couple weeks! I love the texture, and they stay on great, the price is totally worth it and I love that if I'm in a hurry I can just glide one shade of it on and it looks awesome!
I am super late on trying out the Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo!! I saw that they were Buy One Get One 50% off at Ulta so I used that as my chance to finally try them out.
Bold Gold is such a beautiful color. I did not put any primer on my lid because I wanted to see if the reviews were true that the color wont fade away and the verdict was good! So easy to apply and I did not need to layer the product to get a vibrant look.
I can't wait to try out the other colors. I hope they release more colors!!
I know makeup should not be in your face for more than 8 hourse, but I'm always running from full time job at 8am to uni at 7pm, I get home at 10-11pm. Color Tattoo's been a life saver! I'm using Bold Gold in the lid, Bad to the Bronze in the crease and bottom lashes and Too Cool as highlight. They're easy to blend, althought you have to hurry because they set in less than a minute. When I only have 5 minutes for makeup, I only use Bold Gold on the lid, and then a matte or pearl finish cream eyeshadow on top to tone down the glitter, (I'm using Mac Ricepaper)
Even though i saw these in stores, I waited to see the reviews online before I was willing to try. So far the only colors I have tried are Bold Gold and Bad to Bronze. I really love the two colors that I selected! For anyone that owns the Naked 2 palette, both of these work wonderful as bases under the eye shadows from the palette. I use bold gold as a base color and then apply half baked on top, which really brings out the shimmer then use, then use busted as my cease color and chopper to blend it out. I have heard not so good reviews about the the purple one and I tend to stick to more neutrals eye shadow shades so i won't be purchasing. How can you go wrong, I understand being upset with a expensive high end purchase, but buying one of these compared to a paint pot is such a steal!
