It´s kind of waxy and you have to put it on evenly, it doesn´t always go as smoothly as you´d like.
It´s not hard and not soft. It´s very waxy, so it doesn´t go on as evenly as I´d like. It works best if you have an eyeshadow in the same shade, line with your pencil and then press your eyeshadow on top. Gives the liner and the eyeshadow a more radiant color and lasts very long! For that purpose the pencil is great. But I wouldn´t recommend using the pencil just by itself.
